Proverbs 23 - YLT (Kannada)

1 When thou sittest to eat with a ruler, Thou considerest diligently that which `is' before thee,ಆಳುವವನ ಸಂಗಡ ನೀನು ಊಟಕ್ಕೆ ಕೂತಿರುವಾಗ ನಿನ್ನ ಎದುರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವದು ಇದೆ ಎಂದು ಶ್ರದ್ಧೆಯಿಂದ ಆಲೋಚಿಸು;

2 And thou hast put a knife to thy throat, If thou `art' a man of appetite.ನೀನು ಹೊಟ್ಟೆ ಬಾಕನಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಕುತ್ತಿಗೆಗೆ ಕತ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟುಕೋ.

3 Have no desire to his dainties, seeing it `is' lying food.ಅವನ ರುಚಿ ಪದಾರ್ಥಗಳನ್ನು ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿ ಸಬೇಡ; ಅದು ಮೋಸದ ಆಹಾರವು.

4 Labour not to make wealth, From thine own understanding cease, Dost thou cause thine eyes to fly upon it? Then it is not.ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯ ವಂತನಾಗುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಯಾಸಪಡಬೇಡ; ನಿನ್ನ ಸ್ವಂತ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಡು.

5 For wealth maketh to itself wings, As an eagle it flieth to the heavens.ಇಲ್ಲದಿರುವದರ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿನ್ನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಇಡುವಿಯಾ? ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವು ನಿಸ್ಸಂದೇಹವಾಗಿ ರೆಕ್ಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಕೊಂಡು ಹದ್ದಿನಂತೆ ಆಕಾಶದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಹಾರಿಹೋಗುತ್ತದೆ.

6 Eat not the bread of an evil eye, And have no desire to his dainties,ಕೆಟ್ಟದೃಷ್ಟಿ ಯುಳ್ಳವನ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ತಿನ್ನಬೇಡ; ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಅವನ ರುಚಿ ಪದಾರ್ಥಗಳನ್ನು ಆಶಿಸಬೇಡ;

7 For as he hath thought in his soul, so `is' he, `Eat and drink,' saith he to thee, And his heart `is' not with thee.ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೋಚಿಸುವಂತೆಯೇ ಇದ್ದಾನೆ; ಅವನು --ತಿನ್ನು, ಕುಡಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಅವನ ಹೃದಯವು ನಿನ್ನೊಂದಿಗಿಲ್ಲ.

8 Thy morsel thou hast eaten thou dost vomit up, And hast marred thy words that `are' sweet.ನೀನು ತಿಂದ ತುತ್ತನ್ನು ಕಕ್ಕಿಬಿಟ್ಟು ನಿನ್ನ ಸವಿಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಳೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿ.

9 In the ears of a fool speak not, For he treadeth on the wisdom of thy words.ಬುದ್ಧಿ ಹೀನನ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತಾಡಬೇಡ; ನಿನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಅವನು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸುವನು.

10 Remove not a border of olden times, And into fields of the fatherless enter not,ಪೂರ್ವಕಾ ಲದ ಮೇರೆಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆಯಬೇಡ; ಅನಾಥರ ಹೊಲ ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸದಿರು;

11 For their Redeemer `is' strong, He doth plead their cause with thee.ಅವರ ವಿಮೋಚಕನು ಬಲಶಾಲಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಅವರ ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಆತನು ವಾದಿಸುವನು.

12 Bring in to instruction thy heart, And thine ear to sayings of knowledge.ಶಿಕ್ಷಣಕ್ಕೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವನ್ನೂ ವಿವೇ ಕದ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಗೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಕಿವಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕೊಡು.

13 Withhold not from a youth chastisement, When thou smitest him with a rod he dieth not.ಹುಡು ಗನ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಗೆ ಹಿಂತೆಗೆಯಬೇಡ; ಅವನನ್ನು ಬೆತ್ತದಿಂದ ಹೊಡೆದರೆ ಅವನು ಸಾಯುವದಿಲ್ಲ.

14 Thou with a rod smitest him, And his soul from Sheol thou deliverest.ಅವನನ್ನು ಬೆತ್ತದಿಂದ ಹೊಡೆದು ಪಾತಾಳದಿಂದ ಅವನ ಆತ್ಮವನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸುವಿ;

15 My son, if thy heart hath been wise, My heart rejoiceth, even mine,ನನ್ನ ಮಗನೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವು ಜ್ಞಾನ ವುಳ್ಳದ್ದಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವು ಹೌದು, ನನ್ನದೇ ಹರ್ಷಿಸುವದು.

16 And my reins exult when thy lips speak uprightly.ಹೌದು, ನಿನ್ನ ತುಟಿಗಳು ಯಥಾ ರ್ಥವಾದವುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾತಾಡಿದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಅಂತರಾತ್ಮವು ಸಂತೋಷಿಸುವದು.

17 Let not thy heart be envious at sinners, But -- in the fear of Jehovah all the day.ಪಾಪಿಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವು ಅಸೂಯೆಪಡದಿರಲಿ; ನೀನು ದಿನವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕರ್ತನ ಭಯ ದಲ್ಲಿ ಇರು.

18 For, is there a posterity? Then thy hope is not cut off.ಖಂಡಿತವಾಗಿಯೂ ಅಂತ್ಯವು ಬರು ತ್ತದೆ; ನಿನ್ನ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯು ನಿರರ್ಥಕವಾಗದು.

19 Hear thou, my son, and be wise, And make happy in the way thy heart,ನನ್ನ ಮಗನೇ, ಕೇಳಿ ಜ್ಞಾನವಂತನಾಗು; ನ್ಯಾಯಮಾರ್ಗ ದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವನ್ನು ನಡಿಸು.

20 Be not thou among quaffers of wine, Among gluttonous ones of flesh,ಮದ್ಯಪಾನ ಮಾಡುವವರಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅತಿಮಾಂಸ ಭಕ್ಷಕರಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇರಬೇಡ.

21 For the quaffer and glutton become poor, And drowsiness clotheth with rags.ಕುಡುಕರೂ ಹೊಟ್ಟೇಬಾಕರೂ ದುರ್ಗ ತಿಗೆ ಬರುವರು; ತೂಕಡಿಕೆಯು ಒಬ್ಬನಿಗೆ ಹಳೇ ಬಟ್ಟೆ ಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊದಿಸುವದು.

22 Hearken to thy father, who begat thee, And despise not thy mother when she hath become old.ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಪಡೆದ ತಂದೆಯ ಮಾತಿಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡು; ನಿನ್ನ ತಾಯಿ ಮುಪ್ಪಿನವಳಾದಾಗ ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಅಸಡ್ಡೆಮಾಡಬೇಡ.

23 Truth buy, and sell not, Wisdom, and instruction, and understanding,ಸತ್ಯವನ್ನೂ ಜ್ಞಾನ ವನ್ನೂ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಯನ್ನೂ ವಿವೇಕವನ್ನೂ ಕೊಂಡು ಅವುಗ ಳನ್ನು ಮಾರಬೇಡ.

24 The father of the righteous rejoiceth greatly, The begetter of the wise rejoiceth in him.ನೀತಿವಂತನ ತಂದೆಯು ಬಹಳ ವಾಗಿ ಸಂತೋಷಪಡುವನು; ಜ್ಞಾನಿಯಾದ ಮಗನನ್ನು ಪಡೆದವನಿಗೆ ಅವನಿಂದ ಆನಂದವಾಗುವದು.

25 Rejoice doth thy father and thy mother, Yea, she that bare thee is joyful.ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆ ತಾಯಿಗಳು ಸಂತೋಷಿಸುವರು; ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಹೆತ್ತ ವರು ಆನಂದಿಸುವರು.

26 Give, my son, thy heart to me, And let thine eyes watch my ways.ನನ್ನ ಮಗನೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ಹೃದಯ ವನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ಕೊಡು; ನನ್ನ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಿಟ್ಟು ನೋಡಲಿ.

27 For a harlot `is' a deep ditch, And a strange woman `is' a strait pit.ಸೂಳೆಯು ಆಳವಾದ ಕುಣಿ; ಪರಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು ಇಕ್ಕಟ್ಟಾದ ಗುಂಡಿ.

28 She also, as catching prey, lieth in wait, And the treacherous among men she increaseth.ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಾಗಿಯೋ ಎಂಬಂತೆ ಅವಳು ಹೊಂಚು ಹಾಕಿ ಮನುಷ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ದೋಷಗಳನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುತ್ತಾಳೆ.

29 Who hath wo? who hath sorrow? Who hath contentions? who hath plaint? Who hath wounds without cause? Who hath redness of eyes?ಯಾರಿಗೆ ಅಯ್ಯೋ? ಯಾರಿಗೆ ದುಃಖ? ಯಾರಿಗೆ ಕಲಹಗಳು? ಯಾರು ಗೋಳಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ? ಯಾರು ಸುಮ್ಮಸುಮ್ಮನೆ ಗಾಯ ಪಡುತ್ತಾರೆ? ಯಾರಿಗೆ ಕೆಂಪೇ ರಿದ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು?

30 Those tarrying by the wine, Those going in to search out mixed wine.ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಕಾದಿರುವಂಥ ವರು ಮಿಶ್ರಿತ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸವನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುವವರಾಗಿ ಇರುತ್ತಾರೆ.

31 See not wine when it showeth itself red, When it giveth in the cup its colour, It goeth up and down through the upright.ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸವು ಕೆಂಪಾಗಿದ್ದು ಪಾತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಥಳಥಳಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಚಲಿಸಿದರೆ ಅದನ್ನು ನೋಡಬೇಡ.

32 Its latter end -- as a serpent it biteth, And as a basilisk it stingeth.ಕೊನೆಗೆ ಅದು ಹಾವಿನಂತೆ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಷಸರ್ಪದಂತೆ ಕಚ್ಚುತ್ತದೆ.

33 Thine eyes see strange women, And thy heart speaketh perverse things.ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ಪರಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ದರೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವು ವಕ್ರವಾದ ಭಾಷೆಯನ್ನು ಉಚ್ಚರಿ ಸುವದು.

34 And thou hast been as one lying down in the heart of the sea, And as one lying down on the top of a mast.ಹೌದು, ಸಮುದ್ರದ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಲಗಿ ರುವವನಂತೆ ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಹಡಗಿನ ಕಂಬದ ತುದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದವನಂತೆ ನೀನು ಇರುವಿ.

35 `They smote me, I have not been sick, They beat me, I have not known. When I awake -- I seek it yet again!'ನೀನು--ಜನರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದರೂ ನಾನು ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥನಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಅವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದರೂ ನನಗೆ ನೋವಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಯಾವಾಗ ಎಚ್ಚತ್ತೇನು? ಪುನಃ ನಾನು ಅದನ್ನು ತಿರುಗಿ ಹುಡುಕೇನು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತೀ.
