ಭೂಮಿಯು ತನ್ನ ಬಾಯಿ ತೆರೆದು ಅವರನ್ನೂ ಅವರ ಮನೆಯವರನ್ನೂ ಕೋರಹನಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟ ಸಕಲ ಮನುಷ್ಯರನ್ನೂ ಅವರಿಗಿದ್ದದ್ದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನುಂಗಿ ಬಿಟ್ಟಿತು.

ಅರಣ್ಯಕಾಂಡ 27:3
ನಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಯು ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸತ್ತನು; ಅವನು ಕೋರಹನ ಗುಂಪಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧ ವಾಗಿ ಕೂಡಿಕೊಂಡವರ ಗುಂಪಿನೊಳಗಿರದೆ ತನ್ನ ಪಾಪದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಸತ್ತನು; ಅವನಿಗೆ ಕುಮಾರರು ಇರ ಲಿಲ್ಲ.

ಆದರೆ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೊಸದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ ಭೂಮಿಯು ತನ್ನ ಬಾಯಿತೆರೆದು ಇವರನ್ನೂ ಇವರಿಗಿರು ವದೆಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ನುಂಗಿ ಅವರು ತೀವ್ರವಾಗಿ ಪಾತಾಳಕ್ಕೆ ಇಳಿಯುವವರಾದರೆ ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ರೇಗಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆಂದು ನೀವು ತಿಳುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿರಿ ಅಂದನು.

ಒಬ್ಬೊಬ್ಬನು ತನ್ನ ತನ್ನ ಧೂಪದ ಪಾತ್ರೆಯನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಅವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಧೂಪವನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿ ಒಬ್ಬನಿಗೆ ಒಂದರ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಇನ್ನೂರ ಐವತ್ತು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಧೂಪ ಪಾತ್ರೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕರ್ತನ ಎದುರಿಗೆ ತನ್ನಿರಿ. ನೀನೂ ಆರೋನನೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಧೂಪದ ಪಾತ್ರೆಗಳನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಬನ್ನಿರಿ ಅಂದನು.

ಆದದರಿಂದ ಈಗ ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನು ಕುಡಿಯುವದಕ್ಕೆ ತನ್ನ ಬಾಯನ್ನು ತೆರೆದ ಭೂಮಿಯ ದೆಸೆಯಿಂದ ನೀನು ಶಪಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವನಾದಿ.
