ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ನಾನು ಅಳುವಿಕೆಯನ್ನೂ ದುಃಖವನ್ನೂ ಅರಣ್ಯದ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಗೋಳಾಟ ವನ್ನೂ ಎತ್ತುವೆನು; ಅವುಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಹಾದು ಹೋಗದ ಹಾಗೆ ಅದು ಸುಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದೆ; ದನಗಳ ಶಬ್ದವು ಕೇಳಲ್ಪಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಆಕಾಶದ ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳೂ ಮೃಗಗಳೂ ಸಹ ಓಡಿಹೋಗಿವೆ.
