Luke 23 - YLT (Kannada)

1 And having risen, the whole multitude of them did lead him to Pilate,​ಆಗ ಜನಸಮೂಹವೆಲ್ಲವೂ ಎದ್ದು ಆತನನ್ನು ಪಿಲಾತನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತೆಗೆದು ಕೊಂಡು ಹೋದರು.

2 and began to accuse him, saying, `This one we found perverting the nation, and forbidding to give tribute to Caesar, saying himself to be Christ a king.'ಅವರು ಆತನ ಮೇಲೆ ದೂರು ಹೇಳಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿ--ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಜನಾಂಗವನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪು ದಾರಿಗೆ ನಡಿಸುವನಾಗಿ ತಾನೇ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನೆಂಬ ಅರಸನಾಗಿದ್ದನೆಂದೂ ಹೇಳಿ ಕೈಸರನಿಗೆ ಕಂದಾಯ ಕೊಡದಂತೆ ಇವನು ಅಡ್ಡಿ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವದನ್ನು ನಾವು ನೋಡಿದ್ದೇವೆಅಂದರು.

3 And Pilate questioned him, saying, `Thou art the king of the Jews?' and he answering him, said, `Thou dost say `it'.'ಆಗ ಪಿಲಾತನು ಆತನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ಅರಸನೋ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಆತನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ--ನೀನೇ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೀ ಅಂದನು.

4 And Pilate said unto the chief priests, and the multitude, `I find no fault in this man;'ತರುವಾಯ ಪಿಲಾತನು ಪ್ರಧಾ ನಯಾಜಕರಿಗೂ ಜನರಿಗೂ--ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಯಾವ ತಪ್ಪನ್ನೂ ಕಾಣಲಿಲ್ಲ ಅಂದನು.

5 and they were the more urgent, saying -- `He doth stir up the people, teaching throughout the whole of Judea -- having begun from Galilee -- unto this place.'ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವರು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಉಗ್ರತೆಯಿಂದ--ಈತನು ಗಲಿಲಾಯ ಮೊದಲುಗೊಂಡು ಈ ಸ್ಥಳದ ವರೆಗೂ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಯೂದಾ ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೋಧಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಜನರನ್ನು ರೇಗಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

6 And Pilate having heard of Galilee, questioned if the man is a Galilean,ಪಿಲಾತನು ಗಲಿಲಾಯದ ವಿಷಯ ವಾಗಿ ಕೇಳಿ--ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಗಲಿಲಾಯದವನೋ ಎಂದು ಅವನು ವಿಚಾರಿಸಿ

7 and having known that he is from the jurisdiction of Herod, he sent him back unto Herod, he being also in Jerusalem in those days.ಆತನು ಹೆರೋದನ ಅಧಿಕಾರದ ವಿಭಾಗಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟವನೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದ ಕೂಡಲೆ ಆ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಇದ್ದ ಹೆರೋದನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಆತನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು.

8 And Herod having seen Jesus did rejoice exceedingly, for he was wishing for a long `time' to see him, because of hearing many things about him, and he was hoping some sign to see done by him,ಹೆರೋದನು ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದಾಗ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಸಂತೋಷಪಟ್ಟನು; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅವನು ಆತನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಅನೇಕ ಸಂಗತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಆತನನ್ನು ನೋಡುವಂತೆ ಬಹಳ ಕಾಲದಿಂದ ಆಶೆಪಟ್ಟಿ ದ್ದನು. ಆತನಿಂದಾಗುವ ಅದ್ಭುತ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ನೋಡ ಲು ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.

9 and was questioning him in many words, and he answered him nothing.ಆಗ ಅವನು ಆತನನ್ನು ಅನೇಕ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಂದ ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸಿದಾಗ್ಯೂ ಆತನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಏನೂ ಉತ್ತರಕೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.

10 And the chief priests and the scribes stood vehemently accusing him,ಆಗ ಪ್ರಧಾನಯಾಜಕರೂ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿಗಳೂ ನಿಂತುಕೊಂಡು ಉಗ್ರತೆಯಿಂದ ಆತನ ಮೇಲೆ ದೂರು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

11 and Herod with his soldiers having set him at nought, and having mocked, having put around him gorgeous apparel, did send him back to Pilate,ಹೆರೋದನು ತನ್ನ ಯುದ್ಧಭಟರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಆತನನ್ನು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸಿ ಹಾಸ್ಯಮಾಡಿ ಆತನ ಮೇಲೆ ಶೋಭಾಯಮಾನವಾದ ವಸ್ತ್ರವನ್ನು ಹೊದಿಸಿ ಆತನನ್ನು ತಿರಿಗಿ ಪಿಲಾತನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ ದನು.

12 and both Pilate and Herod became friends on that day with one another, for they were before at enmity between themselves.ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಪಿಲಾತನು ಹೆರೋದನು ಅದೇ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬರಿಗೊಬ್ಬರು ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರಾದರು; ಯಾಕಂ ದರೆ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಮೊದಲು ಹಗೆತನವಿತ್ತು.

13 And Pilate having called together the chief priests, and the rulers, and the people,ಪಿಲಾತನು ಪ್ರಧಾನಯಾಜಕರನ್ನೂ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳ ನ್ನೂ ಜನರನ್ನೂ ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಕರೆಸಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ--

14 said unto them, `Ye brought to me this man as perverting the people, and lo, I before you having examined, found in this man no fault in those things ye bring forward against him;ಜನರು ತಿರಿಗಿ ಬೀಳುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆಂದು ನೀವು ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತಂದಿದ್ದೀರಿ; ಇಗೋ, ನೀವು ಈತನ ಮೇಲೆ ತಂದಿರುವ ದೂರುಗಳನ್ನು ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮುಂದೆಯೇ ವಿಚಾರಿಸಿದಾಗ ಈತನಲ್ಲಿ ನನಗೆ ಯಾವ ತಪ್ಪೂ ಕಾಣಲಿಲ್ಲ.

15 no, nor yet Herod, for I sent you back unto him, and lo, nothing worthy of death is having been done by him;ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲದೆ ಹೆರೋದ ನಿಗೆ ಸಹ ಯಾವದೂ ಕಾಣಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಅವನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದೆನು; ಇಗೋ, ಅವನೂ ಆತನಲ್ಲಿ ಮರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಯೋಗ್ಯವಾದದ್ದೇನೂ ಕಾಣಲಿಲ್ಲ.

16 having chastised, therefore, I will release him,'ಹೀಗಿರುವದರಿಂದ ನಾನು ಆತನನ್ನು ಹೊಡಿಸಿ ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಡುವೆನು ಅಂದನು.

17 for it was necessary for him to release to them one at every feast,ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅಧಿಪತಿಯು ಒಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ಹಬ್ಬದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರಿಗಾಗಿ ಬಿಡಿಸು ವದು ಅವಶ್ಯವಾಗಿತ್ತು).

18 and they cried out -- the whole multitude -- saying, `Away with this one, and release to us Barabbas,'ಆಗ ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಆ ಕ್ಷಣವೇ--ಈತನನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಿ ನಮಗೆ ಬರಬ್ಬ ನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಡು ಎಂದು ಕೂಗುತ್ತಾ ಹೇಳಿದರು.

19 who had been, because of a certain sedition made in the city, and murder, cast into prison.(ಬರಬ್ಬನು ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಒಂದಾನೊಂದು ದಂಗೆಯ ಮತ್ತು ಕೊಲೆಯ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಸೆರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಕಲ್ಪ ಟ್ಟವನಾಗಿದ್ದನು).

20 Pilate again then -- wishing to release Jesus -- called to them,ಆದದರಿಂದ ಪಿಲಾತನು ಯೇಸು ವನ್ನು ಬಿಡಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಮನಸ್ಸುಳ್ಳವನಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದನು.

21 but they were calling out, saying, `Crucify, crucify him.'ಆದರೆ ಅವರು--ಅವನನ್ನು ಶಿಲುಬೆಗೆ ಹಾಕಿಸು, ಅವನನ್ನು ಶಿಲುಬೆಗೆ ಹಾಕಿಸು ಎಂದು ಕೂಗುತ್ತಾ ಹೇಳಿದರು.

22 And he a third time said unto them, `Why, what evil did he? no cause of death did I find in him; having chastised him, then, I will release `him'.'ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ಮೂರನೆಯ ಸಾರಿ ಅವ ರಿಗೆ--ಯಾಕೆ? ಈತನು ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದೇನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ? ಈತನಲ್ಲಿ ಮರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಾದದ್ದೇನೂ ನನಗೆ ಕಾಣ ಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಆದದರಿಂದ ನಾನು ಈತನನ್ನು ಹೊಡಿಸಿ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಬಿಡುತ್ತೇನೆ ಅಂದನು.

23 And they were pressing with loud voices asking him to be crucified, and their voices, and those of the chief priests, were prevailing,ಆದರೆ ಆತನು ಶಿಲುಬೆಗೆ ಹಾಕಲ್ಪಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅವರು ಮಹಾಧ್ವನಿಯಿಂದ ಒತ್ತಾಯ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಹೀಗೆ ಅವರ ಕೂಗಾಟವೂ ಪ್ರಧಾನಯಾಜಕರ ಕೂಗಾಟವೂ ಗೆದ್ದಿತು.

24 and Pilate gave judgment for their request being done,ಆಗ ಪಿಲಾತನು ಅವರು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಂಡಂತೆ ಆಗಲಿ ಎಂದು ನಿರ್ಣಯಿಸಿದನು.

25 and he released him who because of sedition and murder hath been cast into the prison, whom they were asking, and Jesus he gave up to their will.ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವರು ಇಷ್ಟಪಟ್ಟವ ನನ್ನು ಅಂದರೆ ದಂಗೆಯ ಮತ್ತು ಕೊಲೆಯ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಸೆರೆಮನೆಯೊಳಗೆ ಹಾಕಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವನನ್ನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಅವರ ಇಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದನು.

26 And as they led him away, having taken hold on Simon, a certain Cyrenian, coming from the field, they put on him the cross, to bear `it' behind Jesus.ಅವರು ಆತನನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿ ರುವಾಗ ಹೊಲದಿಂದ ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಕುರೇನ್ಯದವನಾದ ಸೀಮೋನನೆಂಬವನನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಶಿಲು ಬೆಯನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟು ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಹಿಂದೆ ಹೊತ್ತುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದರು.

27 And there was following him a great multitude of the people, and of women, who also were beating themselves and lamenting him,ಆಗ ಜನರ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಗುಂಪೂ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರೂ ಆತನಿ ಗಾಗಿ ಶೋಕಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಗೋಳಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಆತನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾ ಲಿಸಿದರು.

28 and Jesus having turned unto them, said, `Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for me, but for yourselves weep ye, and for your children;ಆದರೆ ಯೇಸು ಅವರ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿ ಕೊಂಡು--ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ಕುಮಾರ್ತೆಯರೇ, ನನ ಗಾಗಿ ಅಳಬೇಡಿರಿ; ಆದರೆ ನಿಮಗಾಗಿಯೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗಾಗಿಯೂ ಅಳಿರಿ.

29 for, lo, days do come, in which they shall say, Happy the barren, and wombs that did not bare, and paps that did not give suck;ಯಾಕಂದರೆ--ಇಗೋ, ಬಂಜೆಯರೂ ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಗರ್ಭಿಣಿಯಾಗದವರೂ ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಮೊಲೆ ಕುಡಿಸದವರೂ ಧನ್ಯರು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುವ ದಿವಸಗಳು ಬರುತ್ತವೆ.

30 then they shall begin to say to the mountains, Fall on us, and to the hills, Cover us; --ಆಗ ಅವರು ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳಿಗೆ--ನಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೀಳಿರಿ; ಗುಡ್ಡಗಳಿಗೆ-- ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲಾರಂಭಿಸು ವರು.

31 for, if in the green tree they do these things -- in the dry what may happen?'ಅವರು ಹಸಿರಾಗಿರುವ ಮರಕ್ಕೆ ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಒಣಗಿದ ಮರಕ್ಕೆ ಏನು ಮಾಡಿಯಾರು ಅಂದನು.

32 And there were also others -- two evil-doers -- with him, to be put to death;ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ದುಷ್ಕರ್ಮಿಗಳಾದ ಬೇರೆ ಇಬ್ಬರನ್ನು ಆತನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕೊಲ್ಲುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋದರು.

33 and when they came to the place that is called Skull, there they crucified him and the evil-doers, one on the right hand and one on the left.ಅವರು ಕಲ್ವಾರಿ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಡುವ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಆತನನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಆ ದುಷ್ಕರ್ಮಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ಬಲಗಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ಎಡಗಡೆ ಯಲ್ಲಿ ಶಿಲುಬೆಗೆ ಹಾಕಿದರು.

34 And Jesus said, `Father, forgive them, for they have not known what they do;' and parting his garments they cast a lot.ಆಗ ಯೇಸು--ತಂದೆಯೇ, ಅವರನ್ನು ಕ್ಷಮಿಸು; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ತಾವು ಏನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇವೆಂದು ಅವರು ಅರಿಯರು ಅಂದನು. ಅವರು ಆತನ ಉಡುಪನ್ನು ಪಾಲು ಮಾಡಿ ಚೀಟು ಹಾಕಿದರು.

35 And the people were standing, looking on, and the rulers also were sneering with them, saying, `Others he saved, let him save himself, if this be the Christ, the choice one of God.'ಜನರು ನೋಡುತ್ತಾ ನಿಂತುಕೊಂಡಿ ದ್ದರು. ಆಗ ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಸಹ ಆತ ನಿಗೆ ಅಪಹಾಸ್ಯ ಮಾಡಿ--ಈತನು ಬೇರೆಯವರನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿದನು; ಇವನು ದೇವರು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನಾಗಿ ದ್ದರೆ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ತಾನೇ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿ ಅಂದರು.

36 And mocking him also were the soldiers, coming near and offering vinegar to him,ಸೈನಿ ಕರು ಸಹ ಆತನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಆತನಿಗೆ ಹಾಸ್ಯ ಮಾಡಿ ಹುಳಿರಸವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟು

37 and saying, `If thou be the king of the Jews, save thyself.'ಆತನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ಅರಸನಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನೀನೇ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿಕೋ ಅಂದರು.

38 And there was also a superscription written over him, in letters of Greek, and Roman, and Hebrew, `This is the King of the Jews.'ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಆತನ ಮೇಲ್ಗಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ--ಈತನು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ಅರಸನು ಎಂಬ ಮೇಲ್ಬರಹವು ಸಹ ಗ್ರೀಕ್‌ ಲ್ಯಾಟಿನ್‌ ಮತ್ತು ಇಬ್ರಿಯ ಅಕ್ಷರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತ್ತು.

39 And one of the evil-doers who were hanged, was speaking evil of him, saying, `If thou be the Christ, save thyself and us.'ತೂಗುಹಾಕಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದ ದುಷ್ಕರ್ಮಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನು ಆತನನ್ನು ದೂಷಿಸಿ--ನೀನು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನೂ ರಕ್ಷಿಸು ಅಂದನು.

40 And the other answering, was rebuking him, saying, `Dost thou not even fear God, that thou art in the same judgment?ಆದರೆ ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ಗದರಿಸಿ--ನೀನು ಇದೇ ದಂಡನೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿಯೂ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಡುವದಿಲ್ಲವೋ?

41 and we indeed righteously, for things worthy of what we did we receive back, but this one did nothing out of place;'ನಾವಂತೂ ನ್ಯಾಯವಾಗಿಯೇ ನಮ್ಮ ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಕ ಪ್ರತಿಫಲವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದೇವೆ; ಈತನಾದರೋ ತಪ್ಪಾದದ್ದೇನೂ ಮಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲ ಅಂದನು.

42 and he said to Jesus, `Remember me, lord, when thou mayest come in thy reign;'ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವನು ಯೇಸು ವಿಗೆ--ಕರ್ತನೇ, ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರುವಾಗ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನೆನಪು ಮಾಡಿಕೋ ಅಂದನು.

43 and Jesus said to him, `Verily I say to thee, To-day with me thou shalt be in the paradise.'ಆಗ ಯೇಸು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಈ ದಿನವೇ ನೀನು ನನ್ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪರದೈಸಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವಿ ಎಂದು ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ನಿಜವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ ಅಂದನು.

44 And it was, as it were, the sixth hour, and darkness came over all the land till the ninth hour,ಆಗ ಸುಮಾರು ಆರನೇತಾಸಾಗಿತ್ತು; ಒಂಭತ್ತನೇ ತಾಸಿನವರೆಗೆ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕತ್ತಲೆ ಕವಿಯಿತು.

45 and the sun was darkened, and the vail of the sanctuary was rent in the midst,ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಸೂರ್ಯನು ಕತ್ತಲಾದನು; ದೇವಾಲಯದ ತೆರೆಯು ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹರಿಯಿತು.

46 and having cried with a loud voice, Jesus said, `Father, to Thy hands I commit my spirit;' and these things having said, he breathed forth the spirit.ಯೇಸು ಮಹಾಧ್ವನಿಯಿಂದ--ತಂದೆಯೇ, ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮವನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ ಎಂದು ಕೂಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದನು; ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಆತನು ಪ್ರಾಣಬಿಟ್ಟನು.

47 And the centurion having seen what was done, did glorify God, saying, `Really this man was righteous;'ಆಗ ಶತಾಧಿ ಪತಿಯು ನಡೆದದ್ದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ--ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಈತನು ನೀತಿವಂತನಾಗಿದ್ದನು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಮಹಿಮೆಪಡಿಸಿದನು.

48 and all the multitudes who were come together to this sight, beholding the things that came to pass, smiting their breasts did turn back;ಆ ನೋಟಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಬಂದಿದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನರು ನಡೆದ ಸಂಭವಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡುತ್ತಾ ತಮ್ಮ ಎದೆಗಳನ್ನು ಬಡುಕೊಂಡು ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿದರು.

49 and all his acquaintances stood afar off, and women who did follow him from Galilee, beholding these things.ಆತನಿಗೆ ಪರಿಚಯವಿದ್ದವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಗಲಿಲಾಯ ದಿಂದ ಆತನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿದ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರೂ ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತು ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.

50 And lo, a man, by name Joseph, being a counsellor, a man good and righteous,ಆಗ ಇಗೋ, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಯೋಸೇಫನೆಂಬ ಹೆಸರುಳ್ಳ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿದ್ದನು; ಅವನು ಆಲೋಚನಾ ಸಭೆಯವನೂ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯವನೂ ನೀತಿವಂತನೂ ಆಗಿ ದ್ದನು.

51 -- he was not consenting to their counsel and deed -- from Arimathea, a city of the Jews, who also himself was expecting the reign of God,ಇವನು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ಪಟ್ಟಣವಾದ ಅರಿಮ ಥಾಯದವನೂ ದೇವರ ರಾಜ್ಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಎದುರು ನೋಡು ವವನೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದನು. (ಅವನು ಅವರ ಆಲೋಚನೆಗೂ ಕೃತ್ಯಕ್ಕೂ ಒಪ್ಪಿಕೊಂಡಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.)

52 he, having gone near to Pilate, asked the body of Jesus,ಇವನು ಪಿಲಾತನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ದೇಹಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಬೇಡಿ ಕೊಂಡನು.

53 and having taken it down, he wrapped it in fine linen, and placed it in a tomb hewn out, where no one was yet laid.ಇವನು ಅದನ್ನು ಕೆಳಗೆ ಇಳಿಸಿ ನಾರು ಬಟ್ಟೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸುತ್ತಿ ಬಂಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತೋಡಿದ ಸಮಾಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಟ್ಟನು. ಮೊದಲು ಯಾರನ್ನೂ ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಇಟ್ಟಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.

54 And the day was a preparation, and sabbath was approaching,ಸಬ್ಬತ್ತಿಗೆ ಸವಿಾಪವಾಗಿದ್ದ ಆ ದಿನವು ಸಿದ್ಧತೆಯ ದಿನವಾಗಿತ್ತು.

55 and the women also who have come with him out of Galilee having followed after, beheld the tomb, and how his body was placed,ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಗಲಿಲಾಯದಿಂದ ಆತ ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರು ಸಹ ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿ ಹೋಗಿ ಸಮಾಧಿಯನ್ನೂ ಆ ಸಮಾಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆತನ ದೇಹವನ್ನು ಹೇಗೆ ಇಟ್ಟರೆಂಬದನ್ನೂ ನೋಡಿದರು.

56 and having turned back, they made ready spices and ointments, and on the sabbath, indeed, they rested, according to the command.ಅವರು ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿದವರಾಗಿ ಪರಿಮಳ ದ್ಯವ್ಯವನ್ನು ಸುಗಂಧ ತೈಲವನ್ನೂ ಸಿದ್ಧಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಆಜ್ಞಾನು ಸಾರವಾಗಿ ಸಬ್ಬತ್ತಿನ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶ್ರಮಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು.
