ಆಗ ಗುಂಪಿನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಒಬ್ಬನು ಆತನಿಗೆ--ಬೋಧ ಕನೇ, ಆಸ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಪಾಲುಮಾಡಿ ನನಗೆ ಕೊಡುವಂತೆ ನನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳು ಅಂದನು.

Luke 6:45
ಒಳ್ಳೇಮನುಷ್ಯನು ತನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದ ಒಳ್ಳೇಬೊಕ್ಕಸದಿಂದ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನೇ ಹೊರಗೆ ತರುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಆದರೆ ಕೆಟ್ಟಮನುಷ್ಯನು ತನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದ ಕೆಟ್ಟಬೊಕ್ಕಸದಿಂದ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನೇ ಹೊರಗೆ ತರುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಹೃದಯದ ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಯಿಂದ ಅವನ ಬಾಯಿ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತದೆ.

ಓ ಕರ್ತನೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಚಾಚಿ ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯರಿಂದ ಅಂದರೆ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಪಾಲಿಗಿರುವ ಈ ಲೋಕದ ಜನರಿಂದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಪಾರುಮಾಡು. ಅವರ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆಯನ್ನು ಮರೆಯಾದ ನಿನ್ನ ನಿಕ್ಷೇಪದಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿಸುತ್ತೀ; ಅವರು ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಂದ ತೃಪ್ತರಾಗಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಮಿಕ್ಕ ಆಸ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ಶಿಶುಗಳಿಗೆ ಉಳಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
