Leviticus 16:15
ತರುವಾಯ ಅವನು ಜನರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಪಾಪಬಲಿ ಯಾಗಿರುವ ಆಡನ್ನು ವಧಿಸಿ ಅದರ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನು ತೆರೆಯ ಒಳಗಡೆ ತಂದು ಹೋರಿಯ ರಕ್ತದಿಂದ ಮಾಡಿ ದಂತೆಯೇ ಕೃಪಾಸನದ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಮುಂದೆಯೂ ಚಿಮುಕಿಸಬೇಕು.

ಅವನು ಪರಿ ಶುದ್ಧವಾದ ನಾರುಬಟ್ಟೆಯ ಮೇಲಂಗಿಯನ್ನು ತೊಟ್ಟು ಕೊಂಡು ತನ್ನ ಶರೀರದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಾರುಬಟ್ಟೆಯ ಇಜಾರುಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಮತ್ತು ನಾರಿನ ನಡುಕಟ್ಟನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಕೊಂಡು ನಾರಿನ ಮುಂಡಾಸವನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಬೇಕು. ಇವು ಪವಿತ್ರವಾದ ಉಡುಪುಗಳು; ಆದಕಾರಣ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಶರೀರವನ್ನು ನೀರಿನಿಂದ ತೊಳೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು.

ಆ ಬಲಹೀನತೆಯ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ ಅವನು ಜನರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಹೇಗೋ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ತನಗೋಸ್ಕರವೂ ಪಾಪಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಬೇಕಾದವ ನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

ಇದ ಲ್ಲದೆ ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕನು ವರುಷ ವರುಷವೂ ಅನ್ಯರಕವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸುವ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಆತನು ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಅನೇಕ ಸಾರಿ ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ.
