Matthew 27:40
ದೇವಾಲಯವನ್ನು ಕೆಡವಿ ಮೂರು ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಟ್ಟುವವನೇ, ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನೀನೇ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿಕೋ; ಮತ್ತು ನೀನು ದೇವಕುಮಾರನಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಶಿಲುಬೆಯಿಂದ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಇಳಿದು ಬಾ ಅಂದರು.

ವ್ಯಭಿಚಾರಿ ಯಾದ ಈ ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಸಂತತಿಯು ಸೂಚಕಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತದೆ; ಆದರೆ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ಯೋನನಲ್ಲಿ ಆದ ಸೂಚಕಕಾರ್ಯವೇ ಹೊರತು ಬೇರೆ ಯಾವ ಸೂಚಕಕಾರ್ಯವೂ ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಡಲ್ಪಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು. ತರುವಾಯ ಆತನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೊರಟುಹೋದನು.
