Matthew 18:9
ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಅಭ್ಯಂತರ ಪಡಿಸಿದರೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಕಿತ್ತು ನಿನ್ನಿಂದ ಬಿಸಾಡಿಬಿಡು; ನೀನು ಎರಡು ಕಣ್ಣುಳ್ಳವನಾಗಿ ನರಕದ ಬೆಂಕಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಕಲ್ಪಡುವದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಒಂದು ಕಣ್ಣುಳ್ಳವನಾಗಿ ಜೀವದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸುವದು ನಿನಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೇದು.

ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಲೆ ಮಾಡುವಂಥದ್ದು ಯಾವದೂ ಸೇರುವದಿಲ್ಲ. ಅಸಹ್ಯವಾದದ್ದನ್ನೂ ಸುಳ್ಳಾದದ್ದನ್ನೂ ನಡಿಸುವವನು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರುವದಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಕುರಿಮರಿಯಾದಾತನ ಜೀವಗ್ರಂಥದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವರು ಮಾತ್ರ ಸೇರುವರು.

ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಇಡೀ ಲೋಕವನ್ನು ಸಂಪಾದಿಸಿ ಕೊಂಡು ತನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮವನ್ನು ನಷ್ಟಪಡಿಸಿ ಕೊಂಡರೆ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಲಾಭವೇನು? ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ತನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮಕ್ಕೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಏನು ಕೊಟ್ಟಾನು?
