Matthew 15:20
ಇಂಥವುಗಳೇ ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನು ಹೊಲೆಮಾಡುತ್ತವೆ; ಆದರೆ ಕೈತೊಳಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಊಟ ಮಾಡುವದು ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನು ಹೊಲೆಮಾಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ ಅಂದನು.

ಜಾರತ್ವಕ್ಕೆ ದೂರವಾಗಿ ಓಡಿಹೋಗಿರಿ. ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಮಾಡುವ ಇತರ ಪಾಪಕೃತ್ಯಗಳು ದೇಹಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರತಾಗಿವೆ. ಆದರೆ ಜಾರತ್ವ ಮಾಡುವವನು ತನ್ನ ಸ್ವಂತ ದೇಹಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಪಾಪವನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.

ಕಪಟಿಗಳಾದ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿಗಳೇ, ಫರಿಸಾಯರೇ, ನಿಮಗೆ ಅಯ್ಯೋ! ನೀವು ಪಾತ್ರೆಯ ಮತ್ತು ತಟ್ಟೆಯ ಹೊರಭಾಗವನ್ನು ಶುಚಿಮಾಡುತ್ತೀರಿ. ಆದರೆ ಅವು ಒಳಗೆ ಸುಲಿಗೆಯಿಂದಲೂ ದುರಾಶೆಯಿಂದಲೂ ತುಂಬಿರುತ್ತವೆ.

ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಲೆ ಮಾಡುವಂಥದ್ದು ಯಾವದೂ ಸೇರುವದಿಲ್ಲ. ಅಸಹ್ಯವಾದದ್ದನ್ನೂ ಸುಳ್ಳಾದದ್ದನ್ನೂ ನಡಿಸುವವನು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರುವದಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಕುರಿಮರಿಯಾದಾತನ ಜೀವಗ್ರಂಥದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವರು ಮಾತ್ರ ಸೇರುವರು.
