Luke 9:19
ಅವರು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ--ಬಾಪ್ತಿಸ್ಮ ಮಾಡಿಸುವ ಯೋಹಾನನು ಅನ್ನುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಆದರೆ ಕೆಲವರು--ಎಲೀಯನು; ಬೇರೆ ಕೆಲವರು--ಪೂರ್ವಕಾಲದ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನು ತಿರಿಗಿ ಎದ್ದಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಅನ್ನುತ್ತಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಅದಕ್ಕವರು--ಹಾಗಾದರೇನು? ನೀನು ಎಲೀಯನೋ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದರು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವನು--ನಾನಲ್ಲ ಅಂದನು. ಅವರು ನೀನು ಆ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯೋ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವನು--ಅಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಉತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟನು.

ಇಗೋ, ಕರ್ತನ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಭಯಂಕರವಾದ ದಿನವು ಬರುವದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮುಂಚೆ ನಿಮಗೆ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ಎಲೀಯನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.

ಅವರು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ಆ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನೂ ಎಲೀಯನೂ ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಆ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯೂ ಅಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೆ ಬಾಪ್ತಿಸ್ಮ ಮಾಡಿಸುವದು ಯಾಕೆ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದರು.

ಆದದರಿಂದ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಅನೇಕರು ಈ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ--ಈತನು ನಿಜವಾಗಿಯೂ ಆ ಪ್ರವಾದಿ ಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಅಂದರು.

ಅವರು ತಿರಿಗಿ ಕುರುಡನಿಗೆ--ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ತೆರೆದಾತನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ನೀನು ಏನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತೀ ಅಂದಾಗ ಅವನು--ಆತನು ಒಬ್ಬ ಪ್ರವಾದಿ ಅಂದನು.
