Luke 12:1
ಅಷ್ಟರಲ್ಲಿ ಅಸಂಖ್ಯವಾದ ಜನಸಮೂಹವು ಒಬ್ಬರ ಮೇಲೊಬ್ಬರು ತುಳಿದಾಡುವಷ್ಟು ಒಟ್ಟುಗೂಡಿ ಬಂದಿರಲಾಗಿ ಆತನು ಎಲ್ಲಾದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮೊದಲು ತನ್ನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರಿಗೆ--ಫರಿಸಾಯರ ಕಪಟವೆಂಬ ಹುಳಿಯ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು ಎಚ್ಚರವಾಗಿರ್ರಿ.

ಆದಕಾರಣ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕೆಟ್ಟತನವನ್ನೂ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಂಚನೆಯನ್ನೂ ಕಪಟವನ್ನೂ ಹೊಟ್ಟೇ ಕಿಚ್ಚನ್ನೂ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನೂ ವಿಸರ್ಜಿಸಿರಿ.
1 ಕೊರಿಂಥದವರಿಗೆ 5:7
ಆದದರಿಂದ ನೀವು ಹುಳಿ ಇಲ್ಲದ ವರಾದ ಕಾರಣ ಹೊಸ ಕಣಿಕವಾಗಿರುವಂತೆ ಆ ಹಳೇ ಹುಳಿಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಿರಿ. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಪಸ್ಕವಾಗಿರುವ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನೇ ನಮಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಯಜ್ಞಾರ್ಪಿತ ನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

ಕಪಟಿಗಳೇ, ಭೂಮ್ಯಾಕಾಶಗಳ ಭಾವವನ್ನು ಅರಿತು ಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೀರಿ; ಆದರೆ ಈ ಕಾಲವನ್ನು ನೀವು ಅರಿತು ಕೊಳ್ಳದಿರುವದು ಹೇಗೆ?

ಆದರೂ ಆತನ ಕೀರ್ತಿಯು ಇನ್ನೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ದೂರದವರೆಗೂ ಹರಡಿತು; ದೊಡ್ಡ ಸಮೂಹಗಳು ಆತನ ಉಪದೇಶವನ್ನು ಕೇಳುವದಕ್ಕೂ ತಮ್ಮ ರೋಗಗಳನ್ನು ಆತನಿಂದ ವಾಸಿಮಾಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳು ವದಕ್ಕೂ ಕೂಡಿ ಬಂದರು.

ಇದಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಆತನು ಗೆನೇಜರೆತ್ ಕೆರೆಯ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾಗ ಜನರು ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೇಳುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಆತನ ಮೇಲೆ ನೂಕಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.

ಚೀಯೋನಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಪಾಪಿಗಳು ಹೆದರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಭಯವು ಕಪಟಿಗಳನ್ನು ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯಕ್ಕೊಳಗಾಗಿ--ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರು ನುಂಗುವ ಅಗ್ನಿಯ ಸಂಗಡ ವಾಸಿಸಬಲ್ಲರು? ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರು ಸದಾ ಉರಿಯುವ ಜ್ವಾಲೆಗಳೊಡನೆ ತಂಗಿಯಾರು ಅಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು.
ಯೋಬನು 36:13
ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಪಟ ಇರು ವವರು ಕೋಪವನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಆತನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಬಂಧಿಸಿದರೆ ಅವರು ಮೊರೆಯಿಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ.

ದೇವರು ಕಪಟಿಯ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡರೆ ಅವನು ಲಾಭ ಮಾಡುವದರಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆ ಏನು?

ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ಹಸ್ತಕನಾದ ಆ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯನ್ನು ಅರಸನು ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಬಾಗಲಿನ ಕಾವಲಿಗೆ ನೇಮಿಸಿದ್ದನು. ಅರಸನು ದೇವರ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ದೇವರ ಮನು ಷ್ಯನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದ ಪ್ರಕಾರವೇ ಜನರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಪಟ್ಟ ಣದ ಬಾಗಲಲ್ಲಿ ತುಳಿದು ಹಾಕಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ಸತ್ತುಹೋದನು.
