Lamentations 4:9
ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಹತರಾದವರು ಹಸಿವೆ ಯಿಂದ ಹತರಾದವರಿಗಿಂತ ಲೇಸು, ಇವರು ಭೂಫಲ ಗಳಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಕ್ಷಾಮದಿಂದ ತಿವಿಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು ಕ್ಷೀಣಿಸಿ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾರೆ.

ಓ ಮನುಷ್ಯಪುತ್ರನೇ, ನೀನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮನೆತನದವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳು --ನಮ್ಮ ಅಪರಾಧಗಳೂ ಪಾಪಗಳೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲಿದ್ದು ನಾವು ಅವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ಷೀಣಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಹೋದರೆ ಹೇಗೆ ಬದುಕುವೆವು; ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುವಿರಲ್ಲಾ?
