ಕಿರ್ಯಾ ತ್ಯಾರೀಮ್ ಕೆಫೀರವು ಬೇರೋತು ಎಂಬ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಏಳು ನೂರ ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತ ಮೂರುಮಂದಿಯು.

ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಆ ಮೇರೆಯು ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಮೂಲೆಗೆ ಎದುರಾಗಿರುವ ಬೇತ್ಹೋರೋನಿಗೆ ಎದುರಾದ ಬೆಟ್ಟವನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ದಕ್ಷಿಣವಾಗಿ ಸಮುದ್ರದ ಮೂಲೆಯನ್ನು ಸುತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡು ಕಿರ್ಯತ್ಯಾರೀಮ್ ಎಂಬ ಯೂದನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಪಟ್ಟಣವಾದ ಕಿರ್ಯತ್ ಬಾಳದ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಮುಗಿಯುವದು. ಇದು ಪಶ್ಚಿಮ ಮೂಲೆಯಾಗಿತ್ತು.

ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ಅದೋನೀ ಚೆದೆಕನು ಕೇಳಿ ಬಹು ಭಯಪಟ್ಟರು. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಗಿಬ್ಯೋನ್ ರಾಜಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳ ಹಾಗೆ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಪಟ್ಟಣ ವಾಗಿತ್ತು; ಮತ್ತು ಆಯಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ದೊಡ್ಡದಾಗಿತ್ತು; ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅದರ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಶಾಲಿಗಳಾ ಗಿದ್ದರು.
