John 8 - DBY (Kannada)

1 But Jesus went to the mount of Olives.ಯೇಸು ಎಣ್ಣೇಮರಗಳ ಗುಡ್ಡಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದನು.

2 And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came to him; and he sat down and taught them.ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಆತನು ತಿರಿಗಿ ದೇವಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನರು ಆತನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದರು; ಆತನು ಕೂತುಕೊಂಡು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಬೋಧಿಸಿ ದನು.

3 And the scribes and the Pharisees bring [to him] a woman taken in adultery, and having set her in the midst,ಆಗ ವ್ಯಭಿಚಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಹೆಂಗಸನ್ನು ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಫರಿಸಾಯರು ಆತನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತಂದು ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ನಡುವೆ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿ

4 they say to him, Teacher, this woman has been taken in the very act, committing adultery.ಆತನಿಗೆ -- ಬೋಧಕನೇ, ಈ ಹೆಂಗಸು ವ್ಯಭಿಚಾರ ಮಾಡುವಾಗಲೇ ಹಿಡಿಯ ಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಳು.

5 Now in the law Moses has commanded us to stone such; thou therefore, what sayest thou?ಇಂಥವರು ಕಲ್ಲೆಸೆಯಲ್ಪಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಮೋಶೆಯು ನ್ಯಾಯಪ್ರಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ನಮಗೆ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಆದರೆ ನೀನು ಏನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತೀ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದರು.

6 But this they said proving him, that they might have [something] to accuse him [of]. But Jesus, having stooped down, wrote with his finger on the ground.ಅವರು ಆತನನ್ನು ಶೋಧಿಸುವವರಾಗಿ ಆತನ ಮೇಲೆ ತಪ್ಪು ಹೊರಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳಿ ದರು. ಆದರೆ ಯೇಸು ಅವರ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳದವ ನಂತೆ ಬೊಗ್ಗಿಕೊಂಡು ತನ್ನ ಬೆರಳಿನಿಂದ ನೆಲದ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರೆದನು.

7 But when they continued asking him, he lifted himself up and said to them, Let him that is without sin among you first cast the stone at her.ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ಬಿಡದೆ ಆತನನ್ನು ಕೇಳುತ್ತಿರಲು ಆತನು ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆ ನೋಡಿ--ನಿಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ ಯಾವನು ಪಾಪವಿಲ್ಲದವನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೋ ಅವನೇ ಮೊದಲು ಆಕೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಕಲ್ಲನ್ನು ಹಾಕಲಿ ಎಂದು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದನು.

8 And again stooping down he wrote on the ground.ತಿರಿಗಿ ಆತನು ಬೊಗ್ಗಿಕೊಂಡು ನೆಲದ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರೆದನು.

9 But they, having heard [that], went out one by one beginning from the elder ones until the last; and Jesus was left alone and the woman standing there.ಅದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಸ್ವಂತ ಮನಸ್ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಿಂದ ಮನವರಿಕೆಯಾಗಿ ಹಿರಿಯವನು ಮೊದಲುಗೊಂಡು ಕಡೆಯವನವರೆಗೂ ಒಬ್ಬೊಬ್ಬರಾಗಿ ಹೊರಗೆಹೋದರು; ಆಗ ಯೇಸು ಒಬ್ಬನೇ ಉಳಿದನು; ಆ ಹೆಂಗಸು ನಡುವೆ ನಿಂತು ಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಳು.

10 And Jesus, lifting himself up and seeing no one but the woman, said to her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? Has no one condemned thee?ಯೇಸು ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆ ನೋಡಿ ಆ ಹೆಂಗಸಿನ ಹೊರತು ಯಾರನ್ನೂ ಕಾಣದೆ ಆಕೆಗೆ--ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ದೂರು ಹೊರಿಸಿದವರು ಎಲ್ಲಿ ದ್ದಾರೆ? ನಿನಗೆ ಯಾರೂ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆ ವಿಧಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ಅಂದನು.

11 And she said, No one, sir. And Jesus said to her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಆಕೆಯು-- ಕರ್ತನೇ, ಯಾರೂ ವಿಧಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ ಅಂದಳು. ಯೇಸು ಆಕೆಗೆ--ನಾನೂ ನಿನಗೆ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆ ವಿಧಿಸುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಹೋಗು, ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ಪಾಪಮಾಡಬೇಡ ಅಂದನು.

12 Again therefore Jesus spoke to them, saying, I am the light of the world; he that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.ತರುವಾಯ ಯೇಸು ತಿರಿಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನಾನೇ ಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ಬೆಳಕಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸುವವನು ಕತ್ತಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಆದರೆ ಜೀವದ ಬೆಳಕನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುವನು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

13 The Pharisees therefore said to him, Thou bearest witness concerning thyself; thy witness is not true.ಆದಕಾರಣ ಫರಿಸಾಯರು ಆತ ನಿಗೆ--ನಿನ್ನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ನೀನೇ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಕೊಡುತ್ತೀ; ನಿನ್ನ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯು ನಿಜವಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

14 Jesus answered and said to them, Even if I bear witness concerning myself, my witness is true, because I know whence I came and whither I go: but ye know not whence I come and whither I go.ಯೇಸು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನನ್ನ ವಿಷಯ ವಾಗಿ ನಾನು ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಕೊಟ್ಟಾಗ್ಯೂ ನನ್ನ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ನಿಜವೇ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನಾನು ಎಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಬಂದೆನೋ ಮತ್ತು ಎಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತೇನೋ ನಾನು ಬಲ್ಲೆನು; ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ಎಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಬಂದೆನೋ ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಎಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತೇನೋ ನೀವು ಹೇಳಲಾರಿರಿ.

15 Ye judge according to the flesh, I judge no one.ನೀವು ಶಾರೀರಿಕ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ತೀರ್ಪು ಮಾಡುತ್ತೀರಿ; ಆದರೆ ಯಾವ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೂ ನಾನು ತೀರ್ಪುಮಾಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ.

16 And if also I judge, my judgment is true, because I am not alone, but I and the Father who has sent me.ನಾನು ತೀರ್ಪು ಮಾಡಿದರೂ ನನ್ನ ತೀರ್ಪು ನಿಜ ವಾದದ್ದೇ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನಾನು ಒಂಟಿಗನಲ್ಲ, ಆದರೆ ನಾನೂ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ ತಂದೆಯೂ ಇದ್ದೇವೆ.

17 And in your law too it is written that the testimony of two men is true:ಇಬ್ಬರ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯು ನಿಜವೆಂದು ನಿಮ್ಮ ನ್ಯಾಯ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಬರೆದದೆ.

18 I am [one] who bear witness concerning myself, and the Father who has sent me bears witness concerning me.ನನ್ನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ನಾನೇ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಕೊಡುತ್ತೇನೆ ಮತ್ತು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ ತಂದೆಯೂ ನನ್ನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಕೊಡುತ್ತಾನೆ ಅಂದನು.

19 They said to him therefore, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye know neither me nor my Father. If ye had known me, ye would have known also my Father.ತರುವಾಯ ಅವರು ಆತನಿಗೆ--ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆ ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂದರು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೇಸು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರ ವಾಗಿ--ನನ್ನನ್ನಾಗಲಿ ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯನ್ನಾಗಲಿ ನೀವು ಅರಿತಿಲ್ಲ; ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಅರಿತುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರೆ ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯನ್ನು ಸಹ ಅರಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಿರಿ ಅಂದನು.

20 These words spoke he in the treasury, teaching in the temple; and no one took him, for his hour was not yet come.ಯೇಸು ದೇವಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೋಧಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗ ಬೊಕ್ಕಸದ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಆಡಿದನು; ಆದರೆ ಆತನ ಗಳಿಗೆ ಇನ್ನೂ ಬಾರದೆ ಇದ್ದದರಿಂದ ಯಾರೂ ಆತನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೈಹಾಕಲಿಲ್ಲ.

21 He said therefore again to them, I go away, and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sin; where I go ye cannot come.ಯೇಸು ತಿರಿಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನಾನು ಹೋಗುತ್ತೇನೆ; ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುವಿರಿ ಮತ್ತು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪಾಪ ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಯುವಿರಿ; ನಾನು ಹೋಗುವಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ನೀವು ಬರಲಾರಿರಿ ಅಂದನು.

22 The Jews therefore said, Will he kill himself, that he says, Where I go ye cannot come?ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರು--ಇವನು ತನ್ನನ್ನು ತಾನೇ ಕೊಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದಿ ದ್ದಾನೋ? ಯಾಕಂದರೆ--ನಾನು ಹೋಗುವಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ನೀವು ಬರಲಾರಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನಲ್ಲಾ ಅಂದರು.

23 And he said to them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above. Ye are of this world; I am not of this world.ಆತನು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನೀವು ಕೆಳಗಿನವರು, ನಾನು ಮೇಲಿನವನು; ನೀವು ಈ ಲೋಕದವರು, ನಾನು ಈ ಲೋಕದವನಲ್ಲ.

24 I said therefore to you, that ye shall die in your sins; for unless ye shall believe that I am [he], ye shall die in your sins.ಆದದರಿಂದ ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪಾಪಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಸಾಯುವಿರಿ ಎಂದು ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದೆನು. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಆತನೆಂದು ನೀವು ನಂಬದೆ ಹೋದರೆ ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪಾಪಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಸಾಯುವಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

25 They said therefore to him, Who art thou? [And] Jesus said to them, Altogether that which I also say to you.ತರುವಾಯ ಅವರು ಆತನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ಯಾರಾಗಿದ್ದೀ ಅಂದರು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ಮೊದಲಿನಿಂದಲೂ ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದಂತವನೇ.

26 I have many things to say and to judge concerning you, but he that has sent me is true, and I, what I have heard from him, these things I say to the world.ನಿಮ್ಮ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುವದಕ್ಕೂ ತೀರ್ಪುಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೂ ನನಗೆ ಅನೇಕ ವಿಷಯಗಳಿವೆ. ಆದರೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದಾತನು ಸತ್ಯವಂತನು. ನಾನು ಆತನಿಂದ ಕೇಳಿದವುಗಳನ್ನೇ ಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ ಅಂದನು.

27 They knew not that he spoke to them of the Father.ಆತನು ತಂದೆಯ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದನೆಂದು ಅವರು ಗ್ರಹಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ.

28 Jesus therefore said to them, When ye shall have lifted up the Son of man, then ye shall know that I am [he], and [that] I do nothing of myself, but as the Father has taught me I speak these things.ಆಮೇಲೆ ಯೇಸು ಅವ ರಿಗೆ--ಮನುಷ್ಯಕುಮಾರನನ್ನು ನೀವು ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆತ್ತಿದಾಗ ನಾನೇ ಆತನೆಂದೂ ನನ್ನಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ನಾನೇ ಏನೂ ಮಾಡದೆ ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯು ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ ಹಾಗೆ ಈ ಸಂಗತಿ ಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆಂದೂ ನೀವು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿರಿ.

29 And he that has sent me is with me; he has not left me alone, because I do always the things that are pleasing to him.ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದಾತನು ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದಾನೆ; ತಂದೆಯು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಒಂಟಿಯಾಗಿ ಬಿಡಲಿಲ್ಲ;ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಆತನು ಮೆಚ್ಚುವವುಗಳನ್ನೇ ನಾನು ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ ಅಂದನು.

30 As he spoke these things many believed on him.ಆತನು ಈ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗಲೇ ಅನೇಕರು ಆತನಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಟ್ಟರು.

31 Jesus therefore said to the Jews who believed him, If ye abide in my word, ye are truly my disciples;ಆತನ ಮೇಲೆ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಟ್ಟ ಆ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಯೇಸು ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ವಾಕ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದರೆ ನಿಜವಾ ಗಿಯೂ ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರಾಗುವಿರಿ.

32 and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ನೀವು ಸತ್ಯವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿರಿ; ಆ ಸತ್ಯವು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡುವದು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

33 They answered him, We are Abraham's seed, and have never been under bondage to any one; how sayest thou, Ye shall become free?ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವರು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಆತನಿಗೆ--ನಾವು ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನ ಸಂತತಿಯವರಾಗಿರಲಾಗಿ ಯಾವ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೂ ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಗುಲಾಮರಾಗಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಹಾಗಾದರೆ--ನಿಮಗೆ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯಾಗುವದೆಂದು ನೀನು ಹೇಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೀ ಅಂದರು.

34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say to you, Every one that practises sin is the bondman of sin.ಆಗ ಯೇಸು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ನಿಜನಿಜ ವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ--ಪಾಪ ಮಾಡುವವನು ಪಾಪಕ್ಕೆ ಗುಲಾಮನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

35 Now the bondman abides not in the house for ever: the son abides for ever.ಗುಲಾಮನು ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ಇರುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಆದರೆ ಮಗನು ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ಇರುತ್ತಾನೆ.

36 If therefore the Son shall set you free, ye shall be really free.ಆದದರಿಂದ ಮಗನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ನಿಜವಾಗಿಯೂ ನೀವು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯಾಗುವಿರಿ.

37 I know that ye are Abraham's seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word has no entrance in you.ನೀವು ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನ ಸಂತತಿಯವರೆಂದು ನಾನು ಬಲ್ಲೆನು; ಆದರೆ ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನ ವಾಕ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ಥಳವಿಲ್ಲದ ಕಾರಣ ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲುವದಕ್ಕೆ ನೋಡುತ್ತೀರಿ.

38 I speak what I have seen with my Father, and ye then do what ye have seen with your father.ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಬಳಿ ಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ನೋಡಿದ್ದನ್ನೇ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ; ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಯ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೋಡಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತೀರಿ ಅಂದನು.

39 They answered and said to him, Abraham is our father. Jesus says to them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham;ಅವರು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಆತನಿಗೆ--ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನು ನಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆ ಅಂದರು; ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನೀವು ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡು ತ್ತಿದ್ದಿರಿ.

40 but now ye seek to kill me, a man who has spoken the truth to you, which I have heard from God: this did not Abraham.ಆದರೆ ದೇವರಿಂದ ಕೇಳಿದ ಸತ್ಯವನ್ನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಈಗ ಕೊಲ್ಲುವದಕ್ಕೆ ನೋಡುತ್ತೀರಿ; ಇದನ್ನು ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನು ಮಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.

41 Ye do the works of your father. They said [therefore] to him, We are not born of fornication; we have one father, God.ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಯ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತೀರಿ ಅಂದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕವರು ಆತನಿಗೆ--ನಾವು ವ್ಯಭಿಚಾರದಿಂದ ಹುಟ್ಟಿ ದವರಲ್ಲ; ನಮಗೆ ಒಬ್ಬನೇ ತಂದೆ, ಆತನು ದೇವರೇ ಅಂದರು.

42 Jesus said to them, If God were your father ye would have loved me, for I came forth from God and am come [from him]; for neither am I come of myself, but *he* has sent me.ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ದೇವರು ನಿಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಿರಿ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನಾನು ದೇವರಿಂದ ಹೊರಟುಬಂದಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ನನ್ನಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ನಾನೇ ಬರಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಆದರೆ ಆತನೇ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು.

43 Why do ye not know my speech? Because ye cannot hear my word.ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಯಾಕೆ ಗ್ರಹಿ ಸದೆ ಇದ್ದೀರಿ? ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೇಳದೆ ಇರುವದರಿಂದಲೇ.

44 Ye are of the devil, as [your] father, and ye desire to do the lusts of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has not stood in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks falsehood, he speaks of what is his own; for he is a liar and its father:ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ಸೈತಾನನಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟವರಾಗಿದ್ದೀರಿ. ನಿಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಯ ದುರಾಶೆಗಳನ್ನೇ ನೀವು ಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಇಚ್ಛೈಸುತ್ತೀರಿ; ಅವನು ಆದಿಯಿಂದಲೂ ಕೊಲೆಗಾರನಾಗಿದ್ದು ಸತ್ಯ ದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಲ್ಲಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅವನಲ್ಲಿ ಸತ್ಯವೇ ಇಲ್ಲ; ಅವನು ಸುಳ್ಳಾಡುವಾಗ ತನ್ನ ಸ್ವಂತವಾದವುಗಳಿಂದ ಮಾ

45 and because I speak the truth, ye do not believe me.ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಸತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೇಳುವವನಾದದರಿಂದ ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನಂಬುವದಿಲ್ಲ.

46 Which of you convinces me of sin? If I speak truth, why do ye not believe me?ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಪವಿದೆ ಎಂದು ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸುವಿರಿ? ಮತ್ತು ನಾನು ಸತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದರೆ ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಯಾಕೆ ನಂಬುವದಿಲ್ಲ?

47 He that is of God hears the words of God: therefore ye hear [them] not, because ye are not of God.ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟವನು ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಆದರೆ ನೀವು ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟವರಲ್ಲದ ಕಾರಣ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳುವದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

48 The Jews answered and said to him, Say we not well that thou art a Samaritan and hast a demon?ಆಗ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಆತನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ಸಮಾರ್ಯನು ಮತ್ತು ನಿನಗೆ ದೆವ್ವ ಹಿಡಿದದೆ ಎಂದು ನಾವು ಹೇಳುವದು ಸರಿಯಲ್ಲವೋ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

49 Jesus answered, I have not a demon; but I honour my Father, and ye dishonour me.ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೇಸು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ-- ನನಗೆ ದೆವ್ವ ಹಿಡಿದಿಲ್ಲ; ಆದರೆ ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯನ್ನು ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ, ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಅವಮಾನ ಪಡಿಸುತ್ತೀರಿ.

50 But I do not seek my own glory: there is he that seeks and judges.ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಸ್ವಂತ ಮಹಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಆದರೆ ಹುಡುಕು ವವನೂ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರಿಸುವವನೂ ಒಬ್ಬನಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

51 Verily, verily, I say unto you, If any one shall keep my word, he shall never see death.ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ನಿಜನಿಜವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ--ಒಬ್ಬನು ನನ್ನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಂಡರೆ ಅವನು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಮರಣವನ್ನು ಕಾಣುವದಿಲ್ಲ ಅಂದನು.

52 The Jews therefore said to him, Now we know that thou hast a demon. Abraham has died, and the prophets, and thou sayest, If any one keep my word, he shall never taste death.ಆಗ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರು ಆತನಿಗೆ--ನಿನಗೆ ದೆವ್ವ ಹಿಡಿದದೆ ಎಂದು ನಮಗೆ ಈಗ ತಿಳಿಯಿತು; ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನು ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳು ಸತ್ತರು; ಆದರೆ--ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ನನ್ನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಂಡರೆ ಅವನು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಮರಣವನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುವದಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ನೀನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತೀಯಲ್ಲಾ;

53 Art thou greater than our father Abraham, who has died? and the prophets have died: whom makest thou thyself?ಸತ್ತುಹೋದ ನಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆ ಯಾದ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ನೀನು ದೊಡ್ಡ ವನೋ? ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳೂ ಸತ್ತುಹೋದರು. ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಯಾರೆಂದು ನೀನು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೀ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಲು

54 Jesus answered, If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing: it is my Father who glorifies me, [of] whom ye say, He is our God.ಯೇಸು--ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನಾನೇ ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರೆ ನನ್ನ ಸನ್ಮಾನವು ಏನೂ ಅಲ್ಲ; ನೀವು ಯಾವಾತನನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರೆಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತೀರೋ ಆ ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯೇ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.

55 And ye know him not; but I know him; and if I said, I know him not, I should be like you, a liar. But I know him, and I keep his word.ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ ನೀವು ಆತನನ್ನು ಅರಿತುಕೊಂಡಿಲ್ಲ; ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ಆತನನ್ನು ಅರಿತಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ನಾನು ಆತನನ್ನು ಅರಿಯಲಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹಾಗೆ ನಾನೂ ಸುಳ್ಳುಗಾರನಾಗಿ ರುವೆನು; ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ಆತನನ್ನು ಅರಿತಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಆತನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ.

56 Your father Abraham exulted in that he should see my day, and he saw and rejoiced.ನಿಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನು ನನ್ನ ದಿನವನ್ನು ನೋಡಲು ಸಂತೋಷಿ ಸಿದನು, ಅದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಅವನು ಉಲ್ಲಾಸಗೊಂಡನು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

57 The Jews therefore said to him, Thou hast not yet fifty years, and hast thou seen Abraham?ಆಗ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರು ಆತ ನಿಗೆ--ನಿನಗೆ ಇನ್ನೂ ಐವತ್ತು ವರುಷವಾಗಿಲ್ಲ; ನೀನು ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದ್ದೀಯೋ ಅಂದರು.

58 Jesus said to them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ನಿಜನಿಜವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ, ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನಿಗಿಂತ ಮುಂಚೆಯೇ ನಾನು ಇದ್ದೇನೆ ಅಂದನು.

59 They took up therefore stones that they might cast [them] at him; but Jesus hid himself and went out of the temple, [going through the midst of them, and thus passed on.]ಆಗ ಅವರು ಆತನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಎಸೆಯಲು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡರು; ಆದರೆ ಯೇಸು ಅಡಗಿಕೊಂಡು ಅವರ ಮಧ್ಯದಿಂದ ದೇವಾಲಯದ ಹೊರಗೆ ಬಂದು ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಹಾದು ಹೊರಟು ಹೋದನು.
