Jeremiah 41:12
ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯರನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕರಕೊಂಡು, ನೆತನ್ಯನ ಮಗನಾದ ಇಷ್ಮಾಯೇಲನ ಸಂಗಡ ಯುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಗಿಬ್ಯೋನಿ ನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ದೊಡ್ಡ ನೀರುಗಳ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ಕಂಡರು.

ದಾವೀದನೂ ಅವನ ಜನರೂ ಮೂರನೇದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿಕ್ಲಗಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಸೇರುವಷ್ಟರಲ್ಲಿ ಏನಾಯಿತಂದರೆ, ಅಮಾಲೇಕ್ಯರು ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಸೀಮೆಯ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಚಿಕ್ಲಗಿನ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಬಂದು ಬಿದ್ದು ಚಿಕ್ಲಗನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದು ಅದನ್ನು ಬೆಂಕಿಯಿಂದ ಸುಟ್ಟುಬಿಟ್ಟು

ಅಮಾ ಲೇಕ್ಯರು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಹೋದದ್ದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ದಾವೀದನು ಬಿಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡನು. ತನ್ನ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಹೆಂಡತಿಯರನ್ನು ದಾವೀದನು ಬಿಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡನು.
