ಆದರೆ ಕಾರೇಹನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೋಹಾನಾ ನನೂ ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದ ಸೈನ್ಯಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳೆಲ್ಲರೂ ನೆತನ್ಯನ ಮಗನಾದ ಇಷ್ಮಾಯೇಲನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದ ಕೇಡನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕೇಳಿದ ಮೇಲೆ

But when Johanan	וַיִּשְׁמַע֙	wayyišmaʿ	va-yeesh-MA
the son	יוֹחָנָ֣ן	yôḥānān	yoh-ha-NAHN
of Kareah,	בֶּן	ben	ben
all and	קָרֵ֔חַ	qārēaḥ	ka-RAY-ak
the captains	וְכָל	wĕkāl	veh-HAHL
of the forces	שָׂרֵ֥י	śārê	sa-RAY
that	הַחֲיָלִ֖ים	haḥăyālîm	ha-huh-ya-LEEM
with were	אֲשֶׁ֣ר	ʾăšer	uh-SHER
him, heard	אִתּ֑וֹ	ʾittô	EE-toh
of	אֵ֤ת	ʾēt	ate
all	כָּל	kāl	kahl
the evil	הָֽרָעָה֙	hārāʿāh	ha-ra-AH
that	אֲשֶׁ֣ר	ʾăšer	uh-SHER
Ishmael	עָשָׂ֔ה	ʿāśâ	ah-SA
the son	יִשְׁמָעֵ֖אל	yišmāʿēl	yeesh-ma-ALE
of Nethaniah	בֶּן	ben	ben
had done,	נְתַנְיָֽה׃	nĕtanyâ	neh-tahn-YA
