Jeremiah 3:24
ನಾಚಿಕೆಯಾದದ್ದು ನಮ್ಮ ಯೌವನದಾರಭ್ಯ ನಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಗಳ ಕಷ್ಟವನ್ನೂ ಅವರ ಕುರಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ದನಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕುಮಾರರನ್ನೂ, ಕುಮಾ ರ್ತೆಯರನ್ನೂ ತಿಂದುಬಿಟ್ಟಿದೆ.

ಓ ಯೆಹೂದವೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಷ್ಟು ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರುಗಳು ಇದ್ದವು; ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಎಷ್ಟು ಬೀದಿಗಳೋ ಅಷ್ಟು ಬಲಿಪೀಠಗಳನ್ನು ನಾಚಿಕೆಗೆ ಅಂದರೆ ಅಷ್ಟು ಬಲಿ ಪೀಠಗಳನ್ನು ಬಾಳನಿಗೆ ಧೂಪವನ್ನರ್ಪಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಇಟ್ಟಿ ದ್ದೀರಿ.
ಯೆಹೆಜ್ಕೇಲನು 16:61
ಆಗ ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳನ್ನು ಜ್ಞಾಪಕಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ನಿನ್ನ ಸಹೋ ದರಿಗಳಾದ ನಿನ್ನ ಅಕ್ಕತಂಗಿಯರನ್ನು ಸೇರುವಾಗ ನಾಚಿಕೆಪಡುವಿ. ಅವರನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಕುಮಾರ್ತೆಗಳಂತೆ ಕೊಡುವೆನು. ಆದರೆ ಇದು ನಿನ್ನ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆ ಯಿಂದಲ್ಲ.

ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ದುಷ್ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕ್ಷಮಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟ ಮೇಲೆ ನೀನು ಅವು ಗಳನ್ನು ಜ್ಞಾಪಕಕ್ಕೆ ತಂದುಕೊಂಡು ನಿನ್ನ ಅವಮಾನದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಇನ್ನು ನೀನು ಬಾಯಿ ತೆರೆಯಲೇಬಾರದೆಂದು ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.

ಅವರು ಬಾಳನಿಗಾಗಿ ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿದ ಧಾನ್ಯವನ್ನೂ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸವನ್ನೂ ಎಣ್ಣೆಯನ್ನೂ ನಾನು ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಅವ ಳಿಗೆ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ಬಂಗಾರವನ್ನು ನಾನೇ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದು ಅವಳಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯಲಿಲ್ಲ.

ಅದು ಸಹ ಅರಸ ನಾದ ಯಾರೇಬನಿಗೆ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಯಾಗಿ ಅಶ್ಯೂರಿಗೆ ಒಯ್ಯ ಲ್ಪಡುವದು; ಎಫ್ರಾಯಾಮು ನಾಚಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದು ವದು; ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಸಹ ತನ್ನ ಆಲೋಚನೆಗೆ ಅಸಹ್ಯ ಪಡುವದು.
