ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ಅವರು ಕೇಳಿ ನಾನು ಅವರ ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳ ಕೆಟ್ಟತನದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಆಲೋಚಿಸಿದ ಕೇಡಿನ ವಿಷಯ ಪಶ್ಚಾತ್ತಾಪಪಡುವ ಹಾಗೆ ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಮಾರ್ಗ ವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡಾರು.

ದುಷ್ಟನು ತನ್ನ ದುಷ್ಟತನವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನೂ ನೀತಿಯನ್ನೂ ಅನುಸರಿಸಿದರೆ ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಬದುಕುವನು.

ಅವನು ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ಓ ಕರ್ತನೇ, ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾಗಲೇ ಇದನ್ನೇ ನಾನು ಹೇಳಲಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ಆದಕಾರಣ ನಾನು ಮೊದಲು ತಾರ್ಷೀಷಿಗೆ ಓಡಿ ಹೋದೆನು; ನೀನು ಕರುಣೆಯೂ ಕನಿಕರವೂ ದೀರ್ಘಶಾಂತಿಯೂ ಬಹಳ ಕೃಪೆಯೂ ಉಳ್ಳದೇವರೆಂದೂ ಕೇಡಿನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಪಶ್ಚಾತ್ತಾಪ ಪಡುವಾತನೆಂದೂ ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿದಿತ್ತು.
