ಯೆಶಾಯ 53:2
ಆತನು ಚಿಗುರಿನಂತೆಯೂ ಒಣನೆಲದಿಂದ ಹುಟ್ಟಿಬರುವ ಬೇರಿನಂತೆಯೂ ಆತನ ಮುಂದೆ ಬೆಳೆ ಯುವನು. ಆತನಿಗೆ ಯಾವ ರೂಪವಾಗಲಿ ಅಂದವಾ ಗಲಿ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ; ನಾವು ಆತನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದಾಗ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸುವಂಥ ಯಾವ ಚಂದವೂ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ.

பெட்டியிலிருக்கிற தண்டுகளின் முனைகள் சந்நிதி ஸ்தலத்திற்கு முன்னே காணப்படத்தக்கதாக அந்தத் தண்டுகளை இழுத்தார்கள்; வெளியே அவைகள் காணப்படவில்லை; அது இந்த நாள்வரைக்கும் அங்கே இருக்கிறது.

மகா பரிசுத்த இடத்தின் முன்பிருந்து காணத்தக்கவையாகப் பெட்டியிலிருந்த தண்டுகள் மிகவும் நீளமானவையாக இருந்தன. அதனை எவராலும் ஆலயத்திற்கு வெளியே இருந்து காணமுடியவில்லை. ஆனால் அத்தண்டுகள் இன்றும் கூட அங்கேயே உள்ளன.

For he shall grow up	וַיַּ֨עַל	wayyaʿal	va-YA-al
before	כַּיּוֹנֵ֜ק	kayyônēq	ka-yoh-NAKE
plant, tender a as him	לְפָנָ֗יו	lĕpānāyw	leh-fa-NAV
and as a root	וְכַשֹּׁ֙רֶשׁ֙	wĕkaššōreš	veh-ha-SHOH-RESH
dry a of out	מֵאֶ֣רֶץ	mēʾereṣ	may-EH-rets
ground:	צִיָּ֔ה	ṣiyyâ	tsee-YA
no hath he	לֹא	lōʾ	loh
form	תֹ֥אַר	tōʾar	TOH-ar
nor	ל֖וֹ	lô	loh
comeliness;	וְלֹ֣א	wĕlōʾ	veh-LOH
see shall we when and	הָדָ֑ר	hādār	ha-DAHR
