Genesis 32:24
ಆಗ ಯಾಕೋಬನು ಒಬ್ಬನೇ ಉಳಿದಾಗ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಉದಯ ವಾಗುವ ವರೆಗೆ ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಹೋರಾಡಿದನು.

ಆಗ ಯಾಕೋಬನು--ನಾನು ದೇವರನ್ನು ಮುಖಾಮುಖಿ ಯಾಗಿ ನೋಡಿದರೂ ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವು ಕಾಪಾಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಆ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಪೆನೀಯೇಲ್‌ ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರಿಟ್ಟನು.
