Genesis 28:4
ದೇವರು ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿರುವ ಮತ್ತು ನೀನು ಈಗ ಪ್ರವಾಸಿಯಾಗಿರುವ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಬಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಹೊಂದುವಂತೆ ದೇವರು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಿ ನಿನಗೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂತತಿಗೂ ಕೊಡಲಿ ಅಂದನು.

ಕರ್ತನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಹೊರಗೆ ಕರಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದು--ಈಗ ನೀನು ಆಕಾಶವನ್ನು ದೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿ ನಕ್ಷತ್ರ ಗಳನ್ನು ಲೆಕ್ಕಿಸಶಕ್ತನಾದರೆ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಲೆಕ್ಕಿಸು ಅಂದನು. ಆತನು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಅದರಂತೆಯೇ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂತತಿಯು ಆಗುವದು ಎಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದನು.

ಲೋಟನು ಅಬ್ರಾಮನಿಂದ ಅಗಲಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕರ್ತನು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ನೀನಿರುವ ಸ್ಥಳದಿಂದ ಉತ್ತರಕ್ಕೂ ದಕ್ಷಿಣಕ್ಕೂ ಪೂರ್ವಕ್ಕೂ ಪಶ್ಚಿಮಕ್ಕೂ ನೋಡು.

ಆದಿಕಾಂಡ 12:1
ಆಗ ಕರ್ತನು ಅಬ್ರಾಮನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ದೇಶದೊಳಗಿಂದಲೂ ಬಂಧು ಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಮನೆಯಿಂದಲೂ ಹೊರ ಬಂದು ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ತೋರಿಸುವ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗು.
