Daniel 6:17
ಬಂಡೆ ತರಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು ಗುಹೆಯ ಬಾಯಿಯು ಮುಚ್ಚಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ದಾನಿಯೇಲನ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ಆಲೋಚನೆಯು ಬದಲಾಗದ ಹಾಗೆ ಅರಸನು ತನ್ನ ಮುದ್ರೆಯನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಭುಗಳ ಮುದ್ರೆಯನ್ನೂ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಹಾಕಿದನು.

ಹೀಗೆ ಪಸ್ಕದ ತರುವಾಯ ಜನರ ಮುಂದೆ ತರಬೇಕೆಂಬ ಉದ್ದೇಶ ದಿಂದ ಅವನನ್ನು ಬಂಧಿಸಿ ಸೆರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಕಿಸಿದನು.ಅವನನ್ನು ಕಾಯುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಚತುಷ್ಟದ ಸೈನಿಕರಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದನು.

ಅವರನ್ನು ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ಹೊಡೆಸಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಭದ್ರವಾಗಿ ಕಾಯಬೇಕೆಂದು ಸೆರೆಮನೆಯ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗೆ ಖಂಡಿತವಾಗಿ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿ ಸೆರೆಮನೆಯೊಳಗೆ ಹಾಕಿದರು.
