ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನ ಆಳಿಕೆಯ ಎರಡನೆಯ ವರುಷದಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನು ಕಂಡ ಕನಸುಗಳ ಪರಿಣಾಮದಿಂದ ಅವನ ಆತ್ಮವು ಕಳವಳ ಗೊಂಡು ನಿದ್ರೆಯು ಅವನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೋಯಿತು.

ಎಸ್ತೇರಳು 6:1
ಆ ರಾತ್ರಿ ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ನಿದ್ರೆ ಬಾರದ್ದದರಿಂದ ವೃತಾಂತಗಳನ್ನು ಬರೆದಿರುವ ಪುಸ್ತಕವನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಬರಲು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

ಆಗ ಅರಸನು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನಾನು ಒಂದು ಕನಸ್ಸು ಕಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಆ ಕನಸಿನ ಅರ್ಥವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಯುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮವು ಕಳವಳಗೊಂಡಿದೆ ಅಂದನು.

ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನ ಮೊದಲನೇ ವರುಷವಾಗಿದ್ದ ಯೆಹೂ ದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಯೋಷೀಯನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೆಹೋ ಯಾಕೀಮನ ನಾಲ್ಕನೇ ವರುಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಜನರ ವಿಷಯ ಯೆರೆವಿಾಯನಿಗೆ ಉಂಟಾದ ವಾಕ್ಯವು.

ಯೆಹೋಯಾಕೀಮನು ಆಳಲು ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದಾಗ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತೈದು ವರುಷದವನಾಗಿದ್ದು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹನ್ನೊಂದು ವರುಷ ಆಳಿದನು. ಆದರೆ ತನ್ನ ದೇವ ರಾದ ಕರ್ತನ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನು ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ ದನು.

ಪೂರ್ಣವಾದ ಎರಡು ವರುಷಗಳ ಕೊನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಫರೋಹನು ಕನಸನ್ನು ಕಂಡನು.
