ಅವನು ದೇಶಗಳ ಮೇಲೂ ತನ್ನ ಕೈಯನ್ನು ಚಾಚುವನು; ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶವು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳದು.

ಆಗುವದೇನಂದರೆ, ಭೂಮಿಯ ಗೋತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸೈನ್ಯಗಳ ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಅರಸನನ್ನು ಆರಾಧಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಹೋಗದೆ ಇರುವವರ್ಯಾರೋ ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಮಳೆ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಇರುವದು.

ಇವರ ಶವಗಳು ಮಹಾ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಬೀದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದಿರುವವು. ಆ ಪಟ್ಟಣಕ್ಕೆ ಆತ್ಮಿಕವಾಗಿ ಸೊದೋಮ್ ಎಂತಲೂ ಐಗುಪ್ತ ಎಂತಲೂ ಕರೆಯುವರು; ನಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ತನು ಅಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಶಿಲುಬೆಗೆ ಹಾಕಲ್ಪಟ್ಟನು.
