ಆಗ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ರಮ್ಯವಾದ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಗುತ್ತಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುವನು, ತನ್ನ ಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಲ್ಲು ವನು ಮತ್ತು ಅವನು ಕೆಲವು ದಿನಗಳೊಳಗೆ ನಾಶ ವಾಗುವನು; ಆದರೆ ಕೋಪದ ಪೆಟ್ಟಿನಿಂದಲ್ಲ, ಯುದ್ಧ ದಿಂದಲೂ ಅಲ್ಲ.

ಬಿಡು ಗಡೆಯ ಕ್ರಮವೇನೆಂದರೆ: ಸಾಲ ಕೊಟ್ಟವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ತಮ್ಮ ನೆರೆಯವರಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಸಾಲವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಡ ಬೇಕು; ಅದು ಕರ್ತನ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಕಾರಣ ತನ್ನ ನೆರೆಯವನಿಂದಲೂ ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರ ನಿಂದಲೂ ಸಾಲ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬಾರದು.

ಯೆಹೋಯಾಕೀ ಮನು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯನ್ನೂ ಬಂಗಾರವನ್ನೂ ಫರೋಹನಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು. ಫರೋಹನೆಕೋವಿನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಅವನು ಹಣವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವಂತೆ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಕಪ್ಪವನ್ನು ನಿಷ್ಕರ್ಷೆ ಮಾಡಿದನು. ಅವನು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯನ್ನೂ ಬಂಗಾರ ವನ್ನೂ ನೇಕೊವೆಂಬ ಫರೋಹನಿಗೆ ಕೊಡುವ ಹಾಗೆ ದೇಶದ ಜನರಿಂದ ಪ್ರತಿ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ತೆರಿಗೆಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಬಲವಂತವಾಗಿ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡನು.

ಅವನ ಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬ ನೀಚನು ನಿಲ್ಲುವನು; ಅವನಿಗೆ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಮರ್ಯಾದೆಯನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ, ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ಸಮಾಧಾನವಾಗಿ ನಯನುಡಿಗಳಿಂದ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಪಡಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು.
