ಕೊಲೊಸ್ಸೆಯವರಿಗೆ 3

1 ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ನೀವು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವರಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಮೇಲಿರುವ ವುಗಳನ್ನೇ ಹುಡುಕಿರಿ; ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನು ದೇವರ ಬಲಗಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

2 ಮೇಲಿರು ವಂಥವುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮನಸ್ಸಿಡಿರಿ. ಭೂಸಂಬಂಧ ವಾದವುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಇಡಬೇಡಿರಿ.

3 ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನೀವು ಸತ್ತಿರಲ್ಲಾ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಜೀವವು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನೊಂದಿಗೆ ದೇವರಲ್ಲಿ ಮರೆಯಾಗಿಟ್ಟದೆ.

4 ನಮಗೆ ಜೀವವಾಗಿರುವ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷನಾಗುವಾಗ ನೀವು ಸಹ ಆತನ ಜೊತೆ ಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಭಾವದಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿದವರಾಗಿ ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷ ರಾಗುವಿರಿ.

5 ಆದದರಿಂದ ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಭೂಸಂಬಂಧವಾದ ಭಾವಗಳನ್ನು ಅಂದರೆ ಜಾರತ್ವ ಬಂಡುತನ ಕಾಮಾಭಿ ಲಾಷೆ ದುರಾಶೆ ವಿಗ್ರಹಾರಾಧನೆಯಾಗಿರುವ ಲೋಭ ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಸಾಯಿಸಿರಿ.

6 ಇವುಗಳ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಅವಿಧೇಯ ರಾದ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಮೇಲೆ ದೇವರ ಕೋಪವು ಬರುತ್ತದೆ.

7 ಪೂರ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು ಸಹ ಅಂಥವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಜೀವಿಸುತ್ತಿ ದ್ದಾಗ ಅವುಗಳಂತೆ ನಡೆದಿರಿ.

8 ಈಗಲಾದರೋ ಕ್ರೋಧ ಕೋಪ ಮತ್ಸರ ದೇವದೂಷಣೆ ನಿಮ ಬಾಯಿಂದ ಹೊರಡುವ ದುರ್ಭಾಷೆ ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ವಿಸರ್ಜಿಸಿಬಿಡಿರಿ.

9 ಒಬ್ಬರಿಗೊಬ್ಬರು ಸುಳ್ಳಾಡಬೇಡಿರಿ; ನೀವು ಹಳೇ ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನು ಅವನ ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳ ಕೂಡ ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಿದ್ದೀರಲ್ಲವೇ?

10 ನೀವು ನೂತನ ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡವರಾಗಿದ್ದೀರಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿದಾತನ ಹೋಲಿಕೆಯ ಮೇರೆಗೆ ಜ್ಞಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನು ನೂತನವಾಗುತ್ತಾನೆ.

11 ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಗ್ರೀಕನು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯನು ಎಂಬ ಭೇದವಿಲ್ಲ; ಸುನ್ನತಿ ಮಾಡಿಸಿ ಕೊಂಡವರು ಸುನ್ನತಿ ಮಾಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳದವರು ಎಂಬ ಭೇದವಿಲ್ಲ, ಮ್ಲೇಚ್ಛ ಹೂನರೆಂದಿಲ್ಲ; ದಾಸನು ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರನು ಎಂಬ ಭೇದವಿಲ್ಲ; ಆದರೆ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನೇ ಸಮಸ್ತರಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸಮಸ್ತವೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

12 ಆದದರಿಂದ ನೀವು ದೇವರಿಂದ ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ವರೂ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧರೂ ಪ್ರಿಯರೂ ಆಗಿರುವವರಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಕಂತೆ ಕನಿಕರ ದಯೆ ದೀನಮನಸ್ಸು ಸಾತ್ವಿಕತ್ವ ದೀರ್ಘಶಾಂತಿ ಎಂಬ ಸದ್ಗುಣಗಳನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ.

13 ಯಾವನಿ ಗಾದರೂ ಒಬ್ಬನಿಗೆ ಇನ್ನೊಬ್ಬನ ಮೇಲೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯವಿದ್ದರೂ ಒಬ್ಬರಿಗೊಬ್ಬರು ತಾಳಿಕೊಂಡು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕ್ಷಮಿಸಿದಂತೆಯೇ ನೀವು ಒಬ್ಬರಿಗೊಬ್ಬರು ಕ್ಷಮಿಸಿರಿ.

14 ಇದೆಲ್ಲಾದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ; ಅದು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಮಾಡುವ ಬಂಧವಾಗಿದೆ.

15 ದೇವರ ಸಮಾಧಾನವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಆಳಲಿ; ಅದಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೇ ನೀವು ಸಹ ಒಂದೇ ದೇಹವಾಗಿರುವಂತೆ ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೀರಿ; ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ನೀವು ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆಯುಳ್ಳವರಾಗಿರ್ರಿ.

16 ಸಕಲ ಜ್ಞಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಯಾಗಿ ವಾಸಿಸಲಿ; ಒಬ್ಬರಿಗೊಬ್ಬರು ಉಪದೇಶಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಬುದ್ದಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾ ಕೀರ್ತನೆಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ಸಂಗೀತಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ಆತ್ಮ ಸಂಬಂಧವಾದ ಹಾಡುಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ಕೃಪೆಯಿಂದ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಹಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಇರ್ರಿ.

17 ನೀವು ಮಾತಿನಿಂದಾಗಲಿ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಯಿಂದಾಗಲಿ ಏನು ಮಾಡಿದರೂ ಅದೆಲ್ಲವನ್ನು ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಮಾಡಿರಿ. ಆತನ ಮೂಲಕ ತಂದೆ ಯಾದ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತಾಸ್ತುತಿಯನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿರಿ.

18 ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರೇ, ನೀವು ಕರ್ತನಲ್ಲಿ ಯೋಗ್ಯರಾಗಿ ರುವಂತೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಗಂಡಂದಿರಿಗೆ ಅಧೀನರಾಗಿರ್ರಿ.

19 ಪುರುಷರೇ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿರಿ; ಅವರಿಗೆ ನಿಷ್ಠುರವಾಗಿರಬೇಡಿರಿ.

20 ಮಕ್ಕಳೇ, ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಿಷಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆತಾಯಿಗಳಿಗೆ ವಿಧೇಯ ರಾಗಿರ್ರಿ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಇದು ಕರ್ತನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೆಚ್ಚಿಕೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.

21 ತಂದೆಗಳೇ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಮನಗುಂದದಂತೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕೆಣಕಿ ಕೋಪವನ್ನೆಬ್ಬಿಸ ಬೇಡಿರಿ.

22 ಸೇವಕರೇ, ಶಾರೀರಕವಾದ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಯಜಮಾನರಿಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಿಷಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಧೇಯ ರಾಗಿರ್ರಿ; ಮನುಷ್ಯರನ್ನು ಮೆಚ್ಚುಸುವವರು ಮಾಡುವ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಯಜಮಾನರು ನೋಡುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಮಾತ್ರ ಸೇವೆ ಮಾಡದೆ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಡುವ ವರಾಗಿ ಸರಳ ಹೃದಯದಿಂದ ಕೆಲಸಮಾಡಿರಿ.

23 ನೀವು ಯಾವದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದರೂ ಅದನ್ನು ಮನುಷ್ಯರಿ ಗೋಸ್ಕರವೆಂದು ಮಾಡದೆ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೋಸ್ಕರವೇ ಎಂದು ಹೃದಯಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿರಿ;

24 ಕರ್ತನಿಂದ ಬಾಧ್ಯತೆಯೆಂಬ ಪ್ರತಿಫಲವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುವರೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ದೀರಲ್ಲಾ. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನೀವು ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನನ್ನು ಸೇವಿಸುವವರಾಗಿದ್ದೀರಿ.

25 ಆದರೆ ಅನ್ಯಾಯ ಮಾಡುವವನು ತಾನು ಮಾಡಿದ ಅನ್ಯಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ತಕ್ಕದ್ದನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುವನು ಮತ್ತು ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಪಕ್ಷಪಾತವಿಲ್ಲ.

1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

5 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:

6 For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:

7 In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.

8 But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.

9 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;

10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:

11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.

12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;

13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.

14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.

15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

18 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.

19 Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.

20 Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.

21 Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.

22 Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God:

23 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;

24 Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.

25 But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.
