ಅಪೊಸ್ತಲರ ಕೃತ್ಯಗ 3

1 ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯ ಸಮಯವಾದ ಒಂಭತ್ತ ನೆಯ ತಾಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ (ಮೂರು ಘಂಟೆಗೆ) ಪೇತ್ರ ಯೋಹಾನರು ಕೂಡಿಕೊಂಡು ದೇವಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದರು.

2 ಹುಟ್ಟು ಕುಂಟನಾಗಿದ್ದ ಒಬ್ಬಾನೊಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ದೇವಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದವರಿಂದ ಭಿಕ್ಷೆ ಬೇಡುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ಕೆಲವರು ಹೊತ್ತು ಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿ ದೇವಾಲಯದ ಸುಂದರವೆಂಬ ಬಾಗಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿ ದಿನ ಕೂಡ್ರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.

3 ದೇವಾ ಲಯದೊಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುವದಕ್ಕಿದ್ದ ಪೇತ್ರ ಯೋಹಾನ ರನ್ನು ಅವನು ನೋಡಿ ಭಿಕ್ಷೆ ಬೇಡಿದನು.

4 ಆಗ ಪೇತ್ರನು ಯೋಹಾನನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ಕಣ್ಣಿಟ್ಟು ನೋಡುತ್ತಾ--ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನೋಡು ಅಂದನು.

5 ಆಗ ಅವರಿಂದ ಏನಾದರೂ ತನಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕೀತೆಂದು ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಅವನು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಯವಿಟ್ಟನು.

6 ಆಗ ಪೇತ್ರನು--ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಬಂಗಾರವಂತೂ ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ನನಗಿರುವದನ್ನು ನಿನಗೆ ಕೊಡುತ್ತೇನೆ; ನಜರೇತಿನ ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಎದ್ದು ನಡೆದಾಡು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ

7 ಪೇತ್ರನು ಅವನ ಬಲಗೈಯನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ಎತ್ತಿದನು; ಕೂಡಲೆ ಅವನ ಪಾದಗಳೂ ಹರಡಿನ ಎಲುಬುಗಳೂ ಬಲವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದವು.

8 ಆಗ ಅವನು ಹಾರಿ ನಿಂತು ನಡೆದನು. ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಾ ಹಾರುತ್ತಾ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ದೇವಾಲಯದೊಳಗೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿದನು.

9 ಅವನು ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಾ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಇರುವದನ್ನು ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ನೋಡಿ

10 ದೇವಾಲಯದ ಸುಂದರ ವೆಂಬ ಬಾಗಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಭಿಕ್ಷೆಗಾಗಿ ಕೂತುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದವನು ಇವನೇ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡರು; ಹಾಗೆ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿದ್ದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅವರು ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯದಿಂದಲೂ ವಿಸ್ಮಯದಿಂದಲೂ ತುಂಬಿದವರಾದರು.

11 ಸ್ವಸ್ಥನಾದ ಆ ಕುಂಟನು ಪೇತ್ರನನ್ನೂ ಯೋಹಾನ ನನ್ನೂ ಅಂಟಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾಗ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಕೂಡಿ ಅವರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಅತ್ಯಾಶ್ಚರ್ಯದಿಂದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನದೆಂದು ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ದ್ವಾರಾಂಗಳದೊಳಕ್ಕೆ ಓಡಿ ಬಂದರು.

12 ಪೇತ್ರನು ಇದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಜನರಿಗೆ--ಇಸ್ರಾ ಯೇಲ್‌ ಜನರೇ, ನೀವು ಯಾಕೆ ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯ ಪಡುತ್ತೀರಿ? ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಸ್ವಂತ ಶಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದಾಗಲಿ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧತೆಯಿಂದಾಗಲಿ ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನು ನಡೆಯು ವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದೆವೋ ಎಂಬಂತೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಯಾಕೆ ನೀವು ದೃಷ್ಟಿ ಇಟ್ಟು ನೋಡುತ್ತೀರಿ?

13 ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮ ಇಸಾಕ ಯಾಕೋಬರ ದೇವರು, ನಮ್ಮ ಪಿತೃಗಳ ದೇವರು, ತನ್ನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಮಹಿಮೆ ಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ನೀವಾದರೋ ಆತನನ್ನು ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟಿರಿ; ಪಿಲಾತನು ಆತನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ನಿರ್ಣಯಿಸಿ ದಾಗ ನೀವು ಆತನನ್ನು ಅವನ ಮುಂದೆ ಅಲ್ಲಗಳೆದಿರಿ.

14 ಹೀಗೆ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧನೂ ನೀತಿವಂತನೂ ಆಗಿರುವಾತ ನನ್ನು ನೀವು ಬೇಡವೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಒಬ್ಬ ಕೊಲೆಗಾರನನ್ನು ನಿಮಗಾಗಿ ಬಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಡುವಂತೆ ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸಿ

15 ಜೀವಾಧಿ ಪತಿಯನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲಿಸಿದಿರಿ; ದೇವರು ಆತನನ್ನೇ ಸತ್ತವ ರೊಳಗಿಂದ ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ನಾವು ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಗಳಾ ಗಿದ್ದೇವೆ.

16 ನೀವು ನೋಡಿ ತಿಳಿದಂಥ ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಆತನ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಇಟ್ಟದ್ದರಿಂದ ಆ ಹೆಸರೇ ಇವನನ್ನು ಬಲಪಡಿಸಿತು; ಹೌದು, ಆತನಿಂದಾದ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯು ನಿಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರ ಮುಂದೆ ಇವನಿಗೆ ಇಂಥ ಪೂರ್ಣ ಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆಯನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟಿತು.

17 ಈಗ ಸಹೋದರರೇ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ತಿಳಿಯದೆ ಮಾಡಿದಂತೆ ನೀವೂ ಇದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದಿ ರೆಂದು ನಾನು ಬಲ್ಲೆನು.

18 ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನು ಬಾಧೆಪಡ ಬೇಕೆಂದು ದೇವರು ಮುಂದಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರವಾದಿ ಗಳ ಬಾಯಿಂದ ಹೇಳಿಸಿದವುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೀಗೆ ನೆರವೇರಿ ಸಿದನು.

19 ಆದದರಿಂದ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪಾಪಗಳು ಅಳಿಸಲ್ಪಡು ವಂತೆ ನೀವು ಮಾನಸಾಂತರಪಟ್ಟು ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ; ಆಗ ಕರ್ತನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಾನದಿಂದ ನಿಮಗೆ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿಕಾಲಗಳು ಒದಗುವವು.

20 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಮೊದಲು ನಿಮಗೆ ಸಾರಲ್ಪ ಟ್ಟಂಥ ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನನ್ನು ಆತನು ಕಳುಹಿಸುವನು.

21 ಲೋಕಾದಿಯಿಂದ ತನ್ನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಪ್ರವಾದಿ ಗಳ ಬಾಯಿಯ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ದೇವರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದೆ ಲ್ಲವುಗಳು ಯಥಾಸ್ಥಿತಿಗೆ ಬರುವ ಸಮಯದ ವರೆಗೆ ಪರಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಆತನು ಇರುವದು ಅವಶ್ಯವಾಗಿತ್ತು.

22 ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಪಿತೃಗಳಿಗೆ ಮೋಶೆಯು ನಿಜವಾಗಿಯೂ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ನನ್ನ ಹಾಗೆ ಒಬ್ಬ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಹೋದರರಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿಮಗಾಗಿ ಎಬ್ಬಿಸುವನು; ಆತನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಿಷಯಗಳಿಗೆ ನೀವು ಕಿವಿಗೊಡತಕ್ಕದ್ದು;

23 ಆ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡದಿರುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನೂ ಜನ ರೊಳಗಿಂದ ನಾಶವಾಗುವನು ಎಂಬದು.

24 ಹೌದು, ಸಮುವೇಲನು ಮೊದಲುಗೊಂಡು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರವಾದಿ ಗಳೂ ತರುವಾಯ ಬಂದು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಈ ದಿವಸಗಳ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಅದರಂತೆಯೇ ಮುಂತಿಳಿ ಸಿದರು.

25 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನಿಗೆ--ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂತ ತಿಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಭೂಲೋಕದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕುಲದವರು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವರು ಎಂದು ದೇವರು ನಮ್ಮ ಪಿತೃಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯ ಮಕ್ಕಳೂ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳ ಮಕ್ಕಳೂ ನೀವಾಗಿದ್ದೀರಿ.

26 ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ಅವನವನ ದ್ರೋಹಗಳಿಂದ ತಿರು ಗಿಸಿ ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ದೇವರು ತನ್ನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಿ ಮೊದಲು ಆತನನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

1 Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.

2 And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;

3 Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms.

4 And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.

5 And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.

6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

7 And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.

8 And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.

9 And all the people saw him walking and praising God:

10 And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him.

11 And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon’s, greatly wondering.

12 And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?

13 The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go.

14 But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;

15 And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.

16 And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

17 And now, brethren, I wot that through ignorance ye did it, as did also your rulers.

18 But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled.

19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;

20 And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:

21 Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.

22 For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.

23 And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.

24 Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.

25 Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed.

26 Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.

1 ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯ ಸಮಯವಾದ ಒಂಭತ್ತ ನೆಯ ತಾಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ (ಮೂರು ಘಂಟೆಗೆ) ಪೇತ್ರ ಯೋಹಾನರು ಕೂಡಿಕೊಂಡು ದೇವಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದರು.

2 ಹುಟ್ಟು ಕುಂಟನಾಗಿದ್ದ ಒಬ್ಬಾನೊಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ದೇವಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದವರಿಂದ ಭಿಕ್ಷೆ ಬೇಡುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ಕೆಲವರು ಹೊತ್ತು ಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿ ದೇವಾಲಯದ ಸುಂದರವೆಂಬ ಬಾಗಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿ ದಿನ ಕೂಡ್ರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.

3 ದೇವಾ ಲಯದೊಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುವದಕ್ಕಿದ್ದ ಪೇತ್ರ ಯೋಹಾನ ರನ್ನು ಅವನು ನೋಡಿ ಭಿಕ್ಷೆ ಬೇಡಿದನು.

4 ಆಗ ಪೇತ್ರನು ಯೋಹಾನನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ಕಣ್ಣಿಟ್ಟು ನೋಡುತ್ತಾ--ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನೋಡು ಅಂದನು.

5 ಆಗ ಅವರಿಂದ ಏನಾದರೂ ತನಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕೀತೆಂದು ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಅವನು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಯವಿಟ್ಟನು.

6 ಆಗ ಪೇತ್ರನು--ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಬಂಗಾರವಂತೂ ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ನನಗಿರುವದನ್ನು ನಿನಗೆ ಕೊಡುತ್ತೇನೆ; ನಜರೇತಿನ ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಎದ್ದು ನಡೆದಾಡು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ

7 ಪೇತ್ರನು ಅವನ ಬಲಗೈಯನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ಎತ್ತಿದನು; ಕೂಡಲೆ ಅವನ ಪಾದಗಳೂ ಹರಡಿನ ಎಲುಬುಗಳೂ ಬಲವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದವು.

8 ಆಗ ಅವನು ಹಾರಿ ನಿಂತು ನಡೆದನು. ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಾ ಹಾರುತ್ತಾ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ದೇವಾಲಯದೊಳಗೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿದನು.

9 ಅವನು ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಾ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಇರುವದನ್ನು ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ನೋಡಿ

10 ದೇವಾಲಯದ ಸುಂದರ ವೆಂಬ ಬಾಗಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಭಿಕ್ಷೆಗಾಗಿ ಕೂತುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದವನು ಇವನೇ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡರು; ಹಾಗೆ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿದ್ದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅವರು ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯದಿಂದಲೂ ವಿಸ್ಮಯದಿಂದಲೂ ತುಂಬಿದವರಾದರು.

11 ಸ್ವಸ್ಥನಾದ ಆ ಕುಂಟನು ಪೇತ್ರನನ್ನೂ ಯೋಹಾನ ನನ್ನೂ ಅಂಟಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾಗ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಕೂಡಿ ಅವರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಅತ್ಯಾಶ್ಚರ್ಯದಿಂದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನದೆಂದು ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ದ್ವಾರಾಂಗಳದೊಳಕ್ಕೆ ಓಡಿ ಬಂದರು.

12 ಪೇತ್ರನು ಇದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಜನರಿಗೆ--ಇಸ್ರಾ ಯೇಲ್‌ ಜನರೇ, ನೀವು ಯಾಕೆ ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯ ಪಡುತ್ತೀರಿ? ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಸ್ವಂತ ಶಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದಾಗಲಿ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧತೆಯಿಂದಾಗಲಿ ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನು ನಡೆಯು ವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದೆವೋ ಎಂಬಂತೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಯಾಕೆ ನೀವು ದೃಷ್ಟಿ ಇಟ್ಟು ನೋಡುತ್ತೀರಿ?

13 ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮ ಇಸಾಕ ಯಾಕೋಬರ ದೇವರು, ನಮ್ಮ ಪಿತೃಗಳ ದೇವರು, ತನ್ನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಮಹಿಮೆ ಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ನೀವಾದರೋ ಆತನನ್ನು ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟಿರಿ; ಪಿಲಾತನು ಆತನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ನಿರ್ಣಯಿಸಿ ದಾಗ ನೀವು ಆತನನ್ನು ಅವನ ಮುಂದೆ ಅಲ್ಲಗಳೆದಿರಿ.

14 ಹೀಗೆ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧನೂ ನೀತಿವಂತನೂ ಆಗಿರುವಾತ ನನ್ನು ನೀವು ಬೇಡವೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಒಬ್ಬ ಕೊಲೆಗಾರನನ್ನು ನಿಮಗಾಗಿ ಬಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಡುವಂತೆ ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸಿ

15 ಜೀವಾಧಿ ಪತಿಯನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲಿಸಿದಿರಿ; ದೇವರು ಆತನನ್ನೇ ಸತ್ತವ ರೊಳಗಿಂದ ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ನಾವು ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಗಳಾ ಗಿದ್ದೇವೆ.

16 ನೀವು ನೋಡಿ ತಿಳಿದಂಥ ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಆತನ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಇಟ್ಟದ್ದರಿಂದ ಆ ಹೆಸರೇ ಇವನನ್ನು ಬಲಪಡಿಸಿತು; ಹೌದು, ಆತನಿಂದಾದ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯು ನಿಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರ ಮುಂದೆ ಇವನಿಗೆ ಇಂಥ ಪೂರ್ಣ ಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆಯನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟಿತು.

17 ಈಗ ಸಹೋದರರೇ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ತಿಳಿಯದೆ ಮಾಡಿದಂತೆ ನೀವೂ ಇದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದಿ ರೆಂದು ನಾನು ಬಲ್ಲೆನು.

18 ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನು ಬಾಧೆಪಡ ಬೇಕೆಂದು ದೇವರು ಮುಂದಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರವಾದಿ ಗಳ ಬಾಯಿಂದ ಹೇಳಿಸಿದವುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೀಗೆ ನೆರವೇರಿ ಸಿದನು.

19 ಆದದರಿಂದ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪಾಪಗಳು ಅಳಿಸಲ್ಪಡು ವಂತೆ ನೀವು ಮಾನಸಾಂತರಪಟ್ಟು ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ; ಆಗ ಕರ್ತನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಾನದಿಂದ ನಿಮಗೆ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿಕಾಲಗಳು ಒದಗುವವು.

20 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಮೊದಲು ನಿಮಗೆ ಸಾರಲ್ಪ ಟ್ಟಂಥ ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನನ್ನು ಆತನು ಕಳುಹಿಸುವನು.

21 ಲೋಕಾದಿಯಿಂದ ತನ್ನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಪ್ರವಾದಿ ಗಳ ಬಾಯಿಯ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ದೇವರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದೆ ಲ್ಲವುಗಳು ಯಥಾಸ್ಥಿತಿಗೆ ಬರುವ ಸಮಯದ ವರೆಗೆ ಪರಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಆತನು ಇರುವದು ಅವಶ್ಯವಾಗಿತ್ತು.

22 ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಪಿತೃಗಳಿಗೆ ಮೋಶೆಯು ನಿಜವಾಗಿಯೂ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ನನ್ನ ಹಾಗೆ ಒಬ್ಬ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಹೋದರರಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿಮಗಾಗಿ ಎಬ್ಬಿಸುವನು; ಆತನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಿಷಯಗಳಿಗೆ ನೀವು ಕಿವಿಗೊಡತಕ್ಕದ್ದು;

23 ಆ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡದಿರುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನೂ ಜನ ರೊಳಗಿಂದ ನಾಶವಾಗುವನು ಎಂಬದು.

24 ಹೌದು, ಸಮುವೇಲನು ಮೊದಲುಗೊಂಡು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರವಾದಿ ಗಳೂ ತರುವಾಯ ಬಂದು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಈ ದಿವಸಗಳ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಅದರಂತೆಯೇ ಮುಂತಿಳಿ ಸಿದರು.

25 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನಿಗೆ--ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂತ ತಿಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಭೂಲೋಕದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕುಲದವರು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವರು ಎಂದು ದೇವರು ನಮ್ಮ ಪಿತೃಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯ ಮಕ್ಕಳೂ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳ ಮಕ್ಕಳೂ ನೀವಾಗಿದ್ದೀರಿ.

26 ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ಅವನವನ ದ್ರೋಹಗಳಿಂದ ತಿರು ಗಿಸಿ ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ದೇವರು ತನ್ನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಿ ಮೊದಲು ಆತನನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

1 Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.

2 And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;

3 Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms.

4 And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.

5 And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.

6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

7 And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.

8 And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.

9 And all the people saw him walking and praising God:

10 And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him.

11 And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon’s, greatly wondering.

12 And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?

13 The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go.

14 But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;

15 And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.

16 And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

17 And now, brethren, I wot that through ignorance ye did it, as did also your rulers.

18 But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled.

19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;

20 And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:

21 Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.

22 For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.

23 And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.

24 Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.

25 Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed.

26 Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.
