Leviticus 23:29
ಆ ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ಕುಂದಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳದಿದ್ದರೆ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಜನರ ಮಧ್ಯ ದೊಳಗಿನಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಲ್ಪಡಬೇಕು.

ಕುಷ್ಠವಿ ರುವವರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ಮೇಹವುಳ್ಳವರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ಹೆಣದಿಂದ ಅಶುದ್ಧವಾದವರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ಪಾಳೆಯದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಕಳು ಹಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸು.

ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಈ ಏಳನೆಯ ತಿಂಗಳಿನ ಹತ್ತನೆಯ ದಿವಸವು ಪ್ರಾಯಶ್ಚಿತ್ತದ ದಿವಸವಾಗಿ ರುವದು; ಅದು ನಿಮಗೆ ಒಂದು ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಸಭೆಯ ಕೂಟವಾಗಿರುವದು; ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಾಣಗಳನ್ನು ಕುಂದಿಸಿ ಬೆಂಕಿಯಿಂದ ಮಾಡಿದ ಸಮರ್ಪಣೆಯನ್ನು ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಬೇಕು.

ಆ ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೈನ್ಯಗಳ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು --ಅಳಬೇಕೆಂದು, ದುಃಖಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು, ತಲೆಬೋಳಿಸಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದು, ಗೋಣೀತಟ್ಟನ್ನು ಸುತ್ತಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇ ಕೆಂದು ಆತನು ಕರೆದನು.
