ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ--ನಾನು ಯಾವನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳಿಂದ ಪೂರ್ವಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದೆನೋ ಅವನು ನೀನೇ ಅಲ್ಲವೇ? ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಬರ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆಂದು ಆ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅನೇಕ ವರ್ಷಗ ಳಿಗೆ ಮುಂಚೆ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಸಿದರಲ್ಲವೇ?
