ಆದದರಿಂದ ಈಗ ಕೇಳು, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಕೂಗು ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿತು; ಐಗುಪ್ತ್ಯರು ಅವರನ್ನು ಬಾಧಿಸುವ ಬಾಧೆಯನ್ನು ನಾನು ನೋಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ.

ಹೀಗಿರಲಾಗಿ ಬಹಳ ದಿನಗಳಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಐಗುಪ್ತದ ಅರಸನು ಸತ್ತನು. ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ದಾಸತ್ವದ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ ನಿಟ್ಟುಸುರುಬಿಟ್ಟು ಕೂಗು ತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ದಾಸತ್ವದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವಾಗಿ ಅವರ ಕೂಗು ದೇವರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂತು.

ಆಗ ಕರ್ತನು--ಐಗುಪ್ತದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ನನ್ನ ಜನರ ವ್ಯಥೆಯನ್ನು ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿಯೂ ಕಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ಬಿಟ್ಟೀ ಕೆಲಸಮಾಡಿಸುವವರ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಇಟ್ಟ ಮೊರೆಯು ನನಗೆ ಕೇಳಿಸಿತು. ಅವರ ದುಃಖವನ್ನು ಬಲ್ಲೆನು.
ವಿಮೋಚನಕಾಂಡ 1:22
ಆದರೆ ಫರೋಹನು ತನ್ನ ಜನರಿಗೆಲ್ಲಾ--(ಇಬ್ರಿಯರಿಗೆ) ಹುಟ್ಟುವ ಗಂಡು ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಕಬೇಕು. ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಮಕ್ಕಳ ನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಜೀವದಿಂದ ಉಳಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಅಪ್ಪಣೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.

ಆದ ದರಿಂದ ಐಗುಪ್ತ್ಯರು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಂದ ಕ್ರೂರವಾಗಿ ಸೇವೆ ಮಾಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು.

ಆಗ ಅವರನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ಬಿಟ್ಟೀಕೆಲಸಗಳಿಂದ ಶ್ರಮೆಪಡಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಬಿಟ್ಟೀಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಿಸುವ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ನೇಮಿಸಿದರು. ಅವರು ಫರೋಹನಿಗೆ ಪಿತೋಮ್ ರಾಮ್ಸೇಸ್ ಎಂಬ ಉಗ್ರಾಣ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿದರು.
ಮಿಕ 2:1
ಅಪರಾಧವನ್ನು ಯೋಚಿಸಿ, ತಮ್ಮ ಹಾಸಿಗೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ನಡಿಸುವವರಿಗೆ ಅಯ್ಯೋ! ಹೊತ್ತಾರೆ ಬೆಳಕಾಗುವಾಗ ಅದನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಅದು ಅವರ ಕೈವಶದಲ್ಲಿದೆ.
ಆಮೋಸ 4:1
ಸಮಾರ್ಯದ ಬೆಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಬಾಷಾನಿನ ಹಸುಗಳೇ, ಬಡವರನ್ನು ಬಲಾತ್ಕಾರ ಮಾಡಿ, ದರಿದ್ರರನ್ನು ಜಜ್ಜಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಯಜಮಾನರಿಗೆ --ಪಾನವನ್ನು ತರಿಸಿರಿ, ಕುಡಿಯೋಣ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳು ವವರೇ, ಈ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿರಿ.

ಬಡವರ ಹಿಂಸೆಯನ್ನೂ ಒಬ್ಬ ಅಧಿಪತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೀತಿ ನ್ಯಾಯಗಳ ಬಲಾತ್ಕಾರದ ವಕ್ರತೆಯನ್ನೂ ನೀನು ನೋಡಿದರೆ ಆ ಸಂಗತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯಪಡಬೇಡ; ಉನ್ನತೋನ್ನತನು ಲಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಅವರಿಗಿಂತ ಉನ್ನತವಾ ದವರು ಇದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಹೀಗೆ ನಾನು ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡು ಸೂರ್ಯನ ಕೆಳಗೆ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ಹಿಂಸೆಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಾನು ಯೋಚಿಸಿದೆನು; ಹಿಂಸಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವರ ಕಣ್ಣೀರನ್ನೂ ಅವರನ್ನು ಆದರಿಸುವವರು ಯಾರೂ ಇಲ್ಲದಿರುವ ದನ್ನೂ ನೋಡಿದೆನು; ಅವರನ್ನು ಹಿಂಸೆಪಡಿಸುವವರ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಶಕ್ತಿ ಇತ್ತು; ಆದರೆ ಇವರನ್ನು ಆದರಿಸುವವನು ಯಾವನೂ ಇಲ್ಲ.

ಅವನು ಬಡವನೆಂದು ಬಡವನನ್ನು ಸೂರೆಮಾಡ ಬೇಡ; ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲದೆ ದ್ವಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ದರಿದ್ರರನ್ನು ಹಿಂಸಿಸ ಬೇಡ.
