Deuteronomy 7:25
ಅವರ ದೇವರುಗಳ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳನ್ನು ಬೆಂಕಿಯಿಂದ ಸುಡಬೇಕು; ಅವುಗಳ ಮೇಲಿರುವ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ಬಂಗಾರವನ್ನು ಆಶಿಸಿ ನೀನು ತಕ್ಕೊಳ್ಳಬಾರದು; ಅದು ನಿನಗೆ ಉರ್ಲಾ ದೀತು; ಅದು ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಅಸಹ್ಯವೇ.

ನೀವು ಅವರ ಬಲಿಪೀಠಗಳನ್ನು ಕೆಡವಿಹಾಕಿ ಅವರ ಸ್ತಂಭಗಳನ್ನು ಒಡೆದು ಅವರ ತೋಪುಗಳನ್ನು ಬೆಂಕಿಯಿಂದ ಸುಟ್ಟು ಅವರ ದೇವರುಗಳ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳನ್ನು ಕಡಿದುಹಾಕಿ ಅವರ ಹೆಸರುಗಳನ್ನು ಆ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳೊಳಗಿಂದ ನಾಶಮಾಡಬೇಕು.
ಯೆಹೋಶುವ 7:1
1 ಯೆಹೂದ ಗೋತ್ರದ ಜೆರಹನ ಮಗನಾದ ಜಬ್ದೀಯ ಮಗನಾದ ಕರ್ವಿಾಯ ಮಗನಾದ ಆಕಾನನು ಶಾಪಕ್ಕೀಡಾದದ್ದರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡನು. ಈ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಶಾಪಕ್ಕೀಡಾದವರಲ್ಲಿ ಅಪರಾಧಿಗಳಾದರು. ಆದದರಿಂದ ಕರ್ತನ ಕೋಪವು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಉರಿಯಹತ್ತಿತ್ತು.
ಧರ್ಮೋಪದೇಶಕಾಂಡ 23:18
ಸೂಳೆಯ ಕೂಲಿಯನ್ನು ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ನಾಯಿಯ ಕ್ರಯವನ್ನು ಯಾವದೊಂದು ಪ್ರಮಾಣವಾಗಿ ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನ ಮನೆಗೆ ತರಬಾರದು. ಅವೆರಡು ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಅಸಹ್ಯ.
ಧರ್ಮೋಪದೇಶಕಾಂಡ 7:5
ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಕಾದ ದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ ಅವರ ಬಲಿಪೀಠಗಳನ್ನು ಒಡೆದುಹಾಕ ಬೇಕು; ಅವರ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳನ್ನು ಮುರಿದುಹಾಕಬೇಕು; ಅವರ ತೋಪುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಡಿದುಹಾಕಬೇಕು; ಅವರು ಕೆತ್ತಿದ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳನ್ನು ಬೆಂಕಿಯಿಂದ ಸುಡಬೇಕು.
ಪ್ರಕಟನೆ 17:5
ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಮರ್ಮ, ಮಹಾ ಬಾಬೆಲು, ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಜಾರಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರಿಗೂ ಅಸಹ್ಯವಾದ ವುಗಳಿಗೂ ತಾಯಿ ಎಂಬ ಹೆಸರು ಅವಳ ಹಣೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರೆದಿತ್ತು.

ಆದರೆ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವಂತರಾಗ ಬೇಕೆಂದು ಮನಸ್ಸು ಮಾಡುವವರು ಶೋಧನೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಉರ್ಲಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಕೊಂಡು ಅನೇಕ ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನತೆಯ ಮತ್ತು ಹಾನಿಕರವಾದ ದುರಾಶೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬೀಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಇಂಥ ಆಶೆಗಳು ಮನುಷ್ಯರನ್ನು ಸಂಹಾರ ನಾಶನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಳುಗಿಸುತ್ತವೆ.
ಚೆಫನ್ಯ 1:3
ಮನುಷ್ಯರನ್ನೂ ಮೃಗಗಳನ್ನೂ ನಾಶ ಮಾಡುವೆನು. ಆಕಾಶದ ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸಮುದ್ರದ ವಿಾನುಗಳನ್ನೂ ದುಷ್ಟರ ಸಂಗಡ ಅಭ್ಯಂತರ ಮಾಡುವ ವುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಹಾಳುಮಾಡುವೆನು: ಮನುಷ್ಯರನ್ನು ದೇಶದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಕಡಿದುಬಿಡುವೆನು ಎಂದು ಕರ್ತನು ಅನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ.

ಕೆತ್ತಿದ ನಿಮ್ಮ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯ ಕವಚಗಳನ್ನು ಎರಕದ ನಿಮ್ಮ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳ ಬಂಗಾರದ ಹೊದಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ನೀವು ಹೊಲಸುಮಾಡಿ ಆ ವಿಗ್ರಹಕ್ಕೆ ತೊಲಗಿಹೋಗಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಹೊಲೆಯ ಬಟ್ಟೆಯಂತೆ ಬಿಸಾಡಿಬಿಡುವಿರಿ.

ಗಿದ್ಯೋನನು--ಒಂದು ಬಿನ್ನಹವನ್ನು ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಪ್ರತಿ ಯೊಬ್ಬನು ಕೊಳ್ಳೆ ಹೊಡೆದ ವಾಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ಕೊಡಿರಿ ಅಂದನು. (ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅವರು ಇಷ್ಮಾಯೇ ಲ್ಯರಾಗಿದ್ದದರಿಂದ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಬಂಗಾರದ ಮುರುವು ಗಳಿದ್ದವು).

ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸುವ ಜನಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನೀನು ಸಂಹರಿಸಿಬಿಡುವಿ; ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ನೀನು ಕಟಾಕ್ಷವಿಡಬಾರದು; ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಅವರ ದೇವರು ಗಳನ್ನು ಸೇವಿಸಬಾರದು; ಅದು ನಿನಗೆ ಉರುಲಾ ಗುವದು.
