Deuteronomy 28:48
ಹಸಿವೆಯಲ್ಲಿ, ದಾಹದಲ್ಲಿ, ಬೆತ್ತಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ, ಎಲ್ಲವುಗಳ ಕೊರತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವರು ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸುವ ನಿನ್ನ ಶತ್ರುಗಳನ್ನು ಸೇವಿಸಬೇಕು; ಆತನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡುವ ವರೆಗೆ ಕಬ್ಬಿಣದ ನೊಗವನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಕುತ್ತಿಗೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೊರಿ ಸುವನು.

ಯೆಹೆಜ್ಕೇಲನು 17:12
ಇದರ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯ ನಿಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯುವದಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ಅವರಿಗೆ ಎದುರು ಬೀಳುವ ಮನೆಯವರಿಗೆ ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳು--ಇಗೋ, ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಅರಸನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಅದರ ಅರಸ ನನ್ನೂ ಅದರ ಪ್ರಧಾನರನ್ನೂ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ತನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಾಬೆಲಿಗೆ ಒಯ್ದಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

ದೊಡ್ಡ ರೆಕ್ಕೆಗಳೂ ಬಹಳ ಗರಿಗಳೂ ಇದ್ದ ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಹದ್ದು ಇತ್ತು; ಆಗ ಇಗೋ, ಆ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೇ ಗಿಡವು ತಾನು ನಾಟಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಪಾತಿಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಅದರ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತನ್ನ ಬೇರುಗಳನ್ನು ತಿರುಗಿಸಿ ತನ್ನ ರೆಂಬೆಗಳನ್ನು ಚಾಚಿ ಅದರ ಮೂಲಕ ನೀರನ್ನು ಹಾಯಿಸುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.

ಹೇಳತಕ್ಕದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ. ದೊಡ್ಡ ರೆಕ್ಕೆಗಳೂ ಉದ್ದವಾದ ರೆಕ್ಕೆಗಳೂ ಉಳ್ಳಂಥ ವಿಧವಿಧವಾದ ಬಣ್ಣ ಬಣ್ಣದ ಪುಕ್ಕಗಳಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿದ್ದಂಥ ಒಂದು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಹದ್ದು ಲೆಬನೋನಿಗೆ ಬಂದು, ದೇವದಾರಿನ ಮರದ ಮೇಲ್ಗಡೆಯ ಕೊಂಬೆಯನ್ನು ಕಿತ್ತುಹಾಕಿತು.
ಯೆಹೆಜ್ಕೇಲನು 4:16
ಇದಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಆತನು ನನಗೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯ ಪುತ್ರನೇ, ಇಗೋ, ನಾನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅನ್ನದಾನವನ್ನು ಮುರಿಯುವೆನು. ಅವರು ತೂಕದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಜಾಗರೂಕತೆಯಿಂದ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ತಿನ್ನುವರು. ನೀರನ್ನು ಅಳತೆಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯದಿಂದ ಕುಡಿಯುವರು.

ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಯಾಕೆ ನಮಗೆ ಇವುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆಂದು ಅವರು ಹೇಳು ವಾಗ--ನೀನು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು, ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೇರೆ ದೇವರುಗಳನ್ನು ಸೇವಿಸಿದ ಹಾಗೆ ನಿಮ್ಮದಲ್ಲದ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಅನ್ಯರನ್ನು ಸೇವಿಸುವಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಬೇಕು.
