ದಾವೀದನ ಕಡೇ ಮಾತುಗಳು ಇವೇ--ಇಷಯನ ಮಗನಾದ ದಾವೀದನು ನುಡಿ ದನು; ಉನ್ನತವಾಗಿ ಏರಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಪುರುಷನು, ಯಾಕೋಬನ ದೇವರ ಅಭಿಷಕ್ತನು, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ರಮ್ಯವಾದ ಕೀರ್ತನೆಗಾರನು ನುಡಿದದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--

ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ಬಾಧೆಪಡುವವನು ಇದ್ದಾನೋ? ಅವನು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಲಿ. ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ಸಂತೋಷಪಡುವವನಿದ್ದಾನೋ? ಅವನು ಕೀರ್ತನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಡಲಿ.

1 ಸಮುವೇಲನು 2:10
ಕರ್ತನ ಸಂಗಡ ವಿವಾದಿಸುವವರು ಮುರಿದು ಚೂರಾಗುವರು. ಆತನು ಆಕಾಶದಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಗುಡುಗುವನು. ಕರ್ತನು ಲೋಕಾಂತ್ಯದ ವರೆಗೂ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರಿಸಿ ತನ್ನ ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ಬಲಕೊಡುವನು, ತನ್ನ ಅಭಿಷಿಕ್ತನ ಕೊಂಬನ್ನು ಉನ್ನತಮಾಡುವನು ಎಂಬದು.
1 ಪೂರ್ವಕಾಲವೃತ್ತಾ 16:4
ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಕರ್ತನ ಮಂಜೂಷದ ಮುಂದೆ ಸೇವೆ ಮಾಡಲೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಸ್ಮರಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೂ ಕೊಂಡಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೂ ಹೊಗಳುವ ದಕ್ಕೂ ಲೇವಿಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರನ್ನು ನೇಮಿಸಿದನು.

ಆಗ ಅದೇ ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ದಾವೀದನು ಮೊದಲು ಆಸಾಫನಿಗೂ ಅವನ ಸಹೋದರರಿಗೂ ಈ ಸಂಗೀತವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟನು;--

ಆತನಿಗೆ ಹಾಡಿರಿ, ಆತನನ್ನು ಕೀರ್ತಿಸಿರಿ; ಆತನ ಅದ್ಭುತಗಳ ನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಧ್ಯಾನಿಸಿರಿ.
ಕೀರ್ತನೆಗಳು 2:6
ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಅರಸನನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಪರ್ವತವಾದ ಚೀಯೋನಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ.

ಆಗ ಯಾಕೋಬನು ತನ್ನ ಕುಮಾರರನ್ನು ಕರೆಯಿಸಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ನೀವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಕೂಡಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ, ಅಂತ್ಯದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಭವಿಸುವದನ್ನು ನಿಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.
