ಆಗ ದಾವೀದನು ಊರೀಯನಿಗೆ--ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ಇಲ್ಲಿರು; ನಾಳೆ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ ಅಂದನು. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಊರೀಯನು ಆ ದಿನವೂ ಮಾರನೆ ದಿನವೂ ಯೆರೂಸ ಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಇದ್ದನು.
