ಆದರೆ ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಯಾದಾವನು ಒಂದು ಪೆಟ್ಟಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಅದರ ಮುಚ್ಚಳದಲ್ಲಿ ತೂತನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ ಬಲಿಪೀಠದ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ತನ ಮನೆಯೊಳಗೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶದ ಬಲಗಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಟ್ಟನು. ಆಗ ಬಾಗಲು ಕಾಯುವ ಯಾಜಕರು ಕರ್ತನ ಮನೆಗೆ ತರಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಹಣವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಕಿದರು.

ನೀನು ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಹಿಲ್ಕೀಯನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗು, ಅವನು ಕರ್ತನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ದ್ವಾರಪಾಲಕರು ಜನರಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಕೂಡಿಸಿದ ಹಣವನ್ನು ಲೆಕ್ಕ ಮಾಡಲಿ.
