ರೆಹಬ್ಬಾಮನು ದಾವೀದನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೆರೀ ಮೋತನಿಗೆ ಇಷಯನ ಮೊಮ್ಮಗಳೂ ಎಲೀಯಾಬನ ಮಗಳು ಆದ ಅಬೀಹೈಲಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ಮಹ್ಲತ್ ಎಂಬಾಕೆಯನ್ನು ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡನು.
