ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಅವನು ಎಫ್ರಾಯಾಮ್ ಬೆಟ್ಟವನ್ನೂ ಶಾಲೀಷಾ ದೇಶವನ್ನೂ ದಾಟಿಹೋದನು; ಆದರೆ ಅವು ಸಿಕ್ಕಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವನು ಶಾಲೀಮ್ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಹಾದುಹೋದನು; ಅಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅವುಗಳು ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಹೋದವು. ಅವನು ಬೆನ್ಯಾವಿಾನನ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ದಾಟಿ ದರೂ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಾಣದೆ ಹೋದನು.

| then they passed through | וַיַּֽעַבְר֤וּ | wayyaʿabrû | va-ya-av-ROO |
| land the | בְאֶרֶץ | bĕʾereṣ | veh-eh-RETS |
| of Shalim, | שַֽׁעֲלִים֙ | šaʿălîm | sha-uh-LEEM |
