1 Samuel 30:22
ಆಗ ದಾವೀದನ ಸಂಗಡ ಬಂದ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಟ್ಟವರಾದ ಬೆಲಿಯಾಳನ ಜನರು--ಅವರು ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಬಾರದೆ ಇದದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಾವು ತಿರಿಗಿ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದ ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಯ ವಸ್ತುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಒಂದನ್ನೂ ಕೊಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನು ತನ್ನ ತನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರವೇ ಕರಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಲಿ ಅಂದರು.

ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಶ್ರಮೆಪಟ್ಟವರೂ ಸಾಲಗಾರರೂ ತೃಪ್ತಿಯಿಲ್ಲದವರೂ ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಕೂಡಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಆಗ ಅವರಿಗೆ ದಾವೀದನು ಅಧಿಪತಿಯಾದನು, ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಕಡಿಮೆ ನಾನೂರು ಜನರು ಅವನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದರು.

ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನು, ದಯಮಾಡಿ ಬೆಲಿಯಾಳನ ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯ ನಾದ ನಾಬಾಲನ ಮೇಲೆ ಗಮನ ಇಡದೆ ಇರಲಿ. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅವನ ಹೆಸರು ಹೇಗೋ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಅವನು ನಾಬಾಲನೆಂಬ ಹೆಸರುಳ್ಳವನು, ಮೂರ್ಖ ತನವು ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇರುವದು. ಆದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನಾದ ನೀನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ ನಿನ್ನ ಯೌವನಸ್ಥರನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ದಾಸಿಯಾದ ನಾನು ನೋಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.

ಆಗ ಬೆಲಿಯಾಳನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಾದ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಬಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆದುರಾಗಿ ಕುಳಿತು ಕೊಂಡರು; ಈ ಬೆಲಿಯಾಳನ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಜನರ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಬೋತನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ--ಈ ನಾಬೋತನು ದೇವರನ್ನೂ ಅರಸನನ್ನೂ ದೂಷಿಸಿದ ನೆಂದು ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಆಗ ಅವನನ್ನು ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಹೊರಗೆ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿ ಅವನು ಸಾಯುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವರು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಕಲ್ಲೆಸೆದರು. ಅವನು ಸತ್ತನು.
