1 Samuel 29:9
ಆಕೀಷನು ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿನೀನು ನನ್ನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬ ದೇವದೂತನ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಉತ್ತಮನಾಗಿದ್ದೀ ಎಂದು ನಾನು ಬಲ್ಲೆನು. ಆದರೆ ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಇವನು ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಬರಬಾರದೆಂದು ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಈ ಮಾತಿನ ರೂಪವನ್ನು ತಿರುಗಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ಯೋವಾಬನು ಇದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಆದರೆ ಭೂಮಿ ಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡಿಯುವದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ತಿಳಿಯುವದಕ್ಕೆ ದೇವ ದೂತನ ಜ್ಞಾನದ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನು ಜ್ಞಾನವುಳ್ಳವನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಅಂದಳು.

ಅವನು ಅರಸನಾದ ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನಿಗೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನ ಮೇಲೆ ಚಾಡಿಯನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದನು. ಆದರೆ ಅರಸನಾದ ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನು ದೇವದೂತನ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಇದ್ದಾನೆ.

ಆದರೆ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳು ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ರೌದ್ರವಾಗಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಇವನು ಯುದ್ಧದಲ್ಲಿ ನಮಗೆ ಶತ್ರುವಾಗಿರದ ಹಾಗೆ ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಇವನನ್ನು ಬರಗೊಡದೆ ನೀನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ನೇಮಿಸಿದ ತನ್ನ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಹೋಗುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಬಿಡು. ಇವನು ಯಾತರಿಂದ ತನ್ನ ದೊರೆಗೆ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಇಷ್ಟನಾಗ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು. ಅದು ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ತಲೆಗಳಿಂದಲ್ಲವೇ?
