1 Samuel 25:2
ಕರ್ಮೆಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವಾಸ್ತ್ಯಗಳಿರುವ ಮಾವೋನಿನ ವನಾದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿದ್ದನು. ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಬಹು ದೊಡ್ಡವನಾಗಿದ್ದನು; ಅವನಿಗೆ ಮೂರು ಸಾವಿರ ಕುರಿಗಳೂ ಸಾವಿರ ಮೇಕೆಗಳೂ ಇದ್ದವು. ಅವನು ಕರ್ಮೆಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ಕುರಿಗಳ ಉಣ್ಣೆಯನ್ನು ಕತ್ತರಿಸುತ್ತಿ ದ್ದನು.
