ನೀನು ಕೋಲು ಹಿಡುಕೊಂಡು ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನಾನು ನಾಯಿಯೋ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಆ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯನು ತನ್ನ ದೇವರುಗಳಿಂದ ದಾವೀದನನ್ನು ಶಪಿಸಿದನು.

ಈಗ ನೀನು ದಯಮಾಡಿ ಬಂದು ಈ ಜನವನ್ನು ನನಗಾಗಿ ಶಪಿಸು; ಅವರು ನನಗಿಂತ ಬಲಿಷ್ಠರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ನಾನು ಗೆದ್ದೇನು, ನಾವು ಅವರನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದೇವು; ನಾನು ಅವರನ್ನು ದೇಶದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಹೊರಡಿಸೇನು; ನೀನು ಯಾವನನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸು ತ್ತೀಯೋ ಅವನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವನೇ; ನೀನು ಯಾವನನ್ನು ಶಪಿಸುತ್ತೀಯೋ ಅವನು ಶಪಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವನೇ ಎಂದು ನಾನು ಬಲ್ಲೆನು.
ಆದಿಕಾಂಡ 27:29
ಜನಗಳು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಸೇವಿಸಲಿ, ಜನಾಂಗಗಳು ನಿನಗೆ ಅಡ್ಡಬೀಳಲಿ, ನಿನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರರಿಗೆ ನೀನು ದೊರೆ ಯಾಗಿರು. ನಿನ್ನ ತಾಯಿಯ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ನಿನಗೆ ಅಡ್ಡಬೀಳಲಿ, ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಶಪಿಸುವವರಿಗೆ ಶಾಪವೂ ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸುವ ವರಿಗೆ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದವೂ ಆಗಲಿ ಅಂದನು.
