ಅವನು ಆ ಪೀಠಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಕರ್ತನ ಮಾತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂಗಿ--ಪೀಠವೇ, ಪೀಠವೇ, ಇಗೋ, ದಾವೀದನ ಸಂತಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೋಷೀಯನೆಂದು ಹೆಸರುಳ್ಳ ಒಬ್ಬ ಕುಮಾರನು ಹುಟ್ಟುವನು; ಅವನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಧೂಪವನ್ನರ್ಪಿಸುವ ಉನ್ನತ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳ ಯಾಜಕರನ್ನು ಬಲಿಯಾಗಿ ಅರ್ಪಿಸುವನು; ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಎಲುಬುಗಳು ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಸುಡಲ್ಪಡುವವೆಂದು ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ ಅಂದನು.

ಯೋಷೀಯನು ಆಳಲು ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದಾಗ ಎಂಟು ವರುಷದವನಾಗಿದ್ದು ಮೂವ ತ್ತೊಂದು ವರುಷ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಆಳಿದನು. ಅವನ ತಾಯಿ ಬೊಚ್ಕತೂರಿನ ಅದಾಯನ ಮಗಳಾ ಗಿದ್ದು, ಯೆದೀದಾಳೆಂಬ ಹೆಸರುಳ್ಳವಳಾಗಿದ್ದಳು.

ಅವನು ಬೇತೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಬಲಿಪೀಠಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿಯೂ ಸಮಾರ್ಯ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಉನ್ನತ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಮನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿಯೂ ಕರ್ತನ ಮಾತಿನಂತೆ ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಆಗುವದು ಅಂದನು.
ಲೂಕನು 19:40
ಆಗ ಆತನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಅವ ರಿಗೆ--ಇವರು ಸುಮ್ಮನಿರುವದಾದರೆ ಈ ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳು ಕೂಡಲೆ ಕೂಗುವವು ಎಂದು ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳು ತ್ತೇನೆ ಅಂದನು.
