ಆದರೆ ಮಿಕ್ಕಾದವರು ಅಮ್ಮೋನಿಯರಿಗೆದುರಾಗಿ ವ್ಯೂಹಕಟ್ಟುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನಾದ ಅಬ್ಷೈನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟು ಅವನಿಗೆ--

ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಯೋವಾಬನ ಸಹೋದರನಾದ ಅಬ್ಷೈಯು ಮೂರು ಮಂದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥನಾಗಿದ್ದನು. ಅವನು ಮುನ್ನೂರು ಮಂದಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಈಟಿಯನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಮೂವರಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಸರುಗೊಂಡವನಾಗಿದ್ದನು.

ಆಗ ಅಮ್ಮೋನಿಯರು ಹೊರಟು ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಬಾಗಿಲ ದ್ವಾರದ ಹತ್ತಿರ ವ್ಯೂಹಕಟ್ಟಿದರು. ಆದರೆ ಬಂದ ಅರಸುಗಳು ಬೇರೆಯಾಗಿ ಹೊಲದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದರು.
