1 Samuel 20:23
ನಾನೂ ನೀನೂ ಮಾತನಾಡಿಕೊಂಡ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಇಗೋ, ಕರ್ತನು ನನಗೂ ನಿನಗೂ ಮಧ್ಯೆ ಎಂದೆಂದಿಗೂ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾಗಿ ಇರುವನು ಅಂದನು.

ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಕುಮಾರ್ತೆಯರನ್ನು ಉಪದ್ರಪಡಿಸಿದರೆ ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ನನ್ನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಹೊರತಾಗಿ ಬೇರೆ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯರನ್ನು ನೀನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡರೆ ಯಾವ ಮನುಷ್ಯನೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಇರುವದಿಲ್ಲ. ನೋಡು, ನನಗೂ ನಿನಗೂ ನಡುವೆ ದೇವರೇ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಅಂದನು.

ಆಗ ಸಾರಯಳು ಅಬ್ರಾಮನಿಗೆ--ನನಗೆ ಆದ ಅನ್ಯಾಯವು ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಇರಲಿ. ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ದಾಸಿಯನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮಗ್ಗುಲಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟೆನು. ಈಗ ಅವಳು ಗರ್ಭಿಣಿಯಾದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಾನು ಅವಳ ಕಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ತಿರಸ್ಕಾರವಾದೆನು. ದೇವರು ನಿನಗೂ ನನಗೂ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರಿಸಲಿ ಅಂದಳು.
