Joshua 24:10
ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ಬಿಳಾಮನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳಲು ಮನಸ್ಸಿಲ್ಲದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿ ಸುತ್ತಲೇ ಇರಬೇಕಾಯಿತು. ಹೀಗೆ ನಾನು ಅವನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿದೆನು.

ಆದರೆ ಕರ್ತನ ದೂತನು ಬಿಳಾಮನಿಗೆ--ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಸಂಗಡ ಹೋಗು; ಹೋದರೂ ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ಹೇಳುವದನ್ನೇ ಹೇಳಬೇಕು ಅಂದನು. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಬಿಳಾಮನು ಬಾಲಾಕನ ಪ್ರಭುಗಳ ಸಂಗಡ ಹೋದನು.

ಆಗ ಬಿಳಾಮನು ಬಾಲಾಕನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ದಹನ ಬಲಿಯ ಹತ್ತಿರ ನಿಂತುಕೊ; ನಾನು ಹೋಗುತ್ತೇನೆ; ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ಕರ್ತನು ನನಗೆ ಎದುರಾಗಿ ಬರುವನು, ಆತನು ನನಗೆ ಏನು ತೋರಿಸುವನೋ ಅದನ್ನು ನಿನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸುವೆನೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಒಂದು ಎತ್ತರವಾದ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದನು.
