ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ಅರಸನೇ, ವಂದನೆ! ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಕೈಗಳಿಂದ ಆತನನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದರು.

ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಪಿಲಾತನು ಒಂದು ಶಿರೋನಾಮವನ್ನು ಬರೆಯಿಸಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಶಿಲುಬೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಇರಿಸಿದನು. ಆ ಬರಹವು ಏನಂದರೆ--ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ಅರಸನಾದ ನಜರೇತಿನ ಯೇಸು ಎಂಬದೇ.
