ಆಗ ಸೀಮೋನ ಪೇತ್ರನು ತನ್ನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಕತ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಹಿರಿದು ಮಹಾ ಯಾಜಕನ ಆಳನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದು ಅವನ ಬಲಗಿವಿಯನ್ನು ಕತ್ತರಿಸಿದನು; ಆ ಆಳಿನ ಹೆಸರು ಮಲ್ಕನು.
