John 11 - ASV (Kannada)

1 Now a certain man was sick, Lazarus of Bethany, of the village of Mary and her sister Martha.ಮರಿಯಳ ಮತ್ತು ಆಕೆಯ ಸಹೋದರಿ ಯಾದ ಮಾರ್ಥಳ ಊರಾದ ಬೇಥಾನ್ಯ ದಲ್ಲಿ ಲಾಜರನೆಂಬವನೊಬ್ಬನು ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥನಾಗಿದ್ದನು.

2 And it was that Mary who anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.(ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ತೈಲವನ್ನು ಹಚ್ಚಿ ತನ್ನ ತಲೇಕೂದಲಿನಿಂದ ಆತನ ಪಾದಗಳನ್ನು ಒರಸಿದ ಈ ಮರಿಯಳ ಸಹೋ ದರನಾದ ಲಾಜರನು ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥನಾಗಿದ್ದನು).

3 The sisters therefore sent unto him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest is sick.ಆದದ ರಿಂದ ಅವನ ಸಹೋದರಿಯರು--ಕರ್ತನೇ, ಇಗೋ, ನೀನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವವನು ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಎಂದು ಆತನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿಕಳುಹಿಸಿದರು.

4 But when Jesus heard it, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified thereby.ಯೇಸು ಅದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ--ಈ ರೋಗವು ಮರಣಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯಲ್ಲ, ಆದರೆ ದೇವಕುಮಾರನು ಅದರಿಂದ ಮಹಿಮೆ ಹೊಂದುವಂತೆ ದೇವರ ಮಹಿಮೆಗೋಸ್ಕರವೇ ಬಂದದ್ದು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

5 Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus.ಮಾರ್ಥಳನ್ನೂ ಅವಳ ಸಹೋದರಿಯನ್ನೂ ಲಾಜರನನ್ನೂ ಯೇಸು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸು ತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.

6 When therefore he heard that he was sick, he abode at that time two days in the place where he was.ಅವನು ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆಂದು ಆತನು ಕೇಳಿ ದರೂ ಎರಡು ದಿವಸ ತಾನಿದ್ದ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲೇ ಉಳಿದನು.

7 Then after this he saith to the disciples, Let us go into Judaea again.ತರುವಾಯ ಆತನು ತನ್ನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರಿಗೆ--ನಾವು ತಿರಿಗಿ ಯೂದಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗೋಣ ಅಂದನು.

8 The disciples say unto him, Rabbi, the Jews were but now seeking to stone thee; and goest thou thither again?ಆತನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಆತನಿಗೆ--ಬೋಧಕನೇ, ಆಗಲೇ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರು ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕಲ್ಲೆಸೆಯಬೇಕೆಂದು ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತಿ ದ್ದರಲ್ಲಾ; ತಿರಿಗಿ ನೀನು ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತೀಯೋ? ಅಂದರು.

9 Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If a man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world.ಯೇಸು--ಹಗಲಿಗೆ ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ತಾಸುಗಳು ಇವೆಯಲ್ಲವೇ? ಯಾವ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಾದರೂ ಹಗಲಿ ನಲ್ಲಿ ತಿರುಗಾಡಿದರೆ ಈ ಲೋಕದ ಬೆಳಕನ್ನು ನೋಡು ವದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ಎಡವುವದಿಲ್ಲ.

10 But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because the light is not in him.ಆದರೆ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಿರುಗಾಡಿದರೆ ತನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳಕು ಇಲ್ಲವಾದದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ಎಡವುತ್ತಾನೆ ಎಂದು ಉತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟನು.

11 These things spake he: and after this he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus is fallen asleep; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.ಈ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದ ತರುವಾಯ ಆತನು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನಮ್ಮ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತನಾದ ಲಾಜರನು ನಿದ್ರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ಅವನನ್ನು ನಿದ್ರೆಯಿಂದ ಎಬ್ಬಿಸುವದಾಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಹೋಗುತ್ತೇನೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

12 The disciples therefore said unto him, Lord, if he is fallen asleep, he will recover.ಆಗ ಆತನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು--ಕರ್ತನೇ, ಅವನು ನಿದ್ರೆಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೆ ಸ್ವಸ್ಥನಾಗುವನು ಅಂದರು.

13 Now Jesus had spoken of his death: but they thought that he spake of taking rest in sleep.ಆದರೆ ಯೇಸು ಅವನ ಮರಣದ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದನು; ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ನಿದ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿ ಕುರಿತು ಆತನು ಹೇಳಿದ ನೆಂದು ಯೋಚಿಸಿದರು.

14 Then Jesus therefore said unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead.ಆಗ ಯೇಸು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ--ಲಾಜರನು ಸತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

15 And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, to the intent ye may believe; nevertheless let us go unto him.ನೀವು ನಂಬು ವಂತೆ ನಿಮಗೋಸ್ಕರ ನಾನು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಇಲ್ಲದಿರುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂತೋಷಪಡುತ್ತೇನೆ; ಹೇಗೂ ನಾವು ಅವನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗೋಣ ಎಂದು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದನು.

16 Thomas therefore, who is called Didymus, said unto his fellow-disciples, Let us also go, that we may die with him.ತರು ವಾಯ ದಿದುಮನೆಂಬ ತೋಮನು ತನ್ನ ಜೊತೆ ಶಿಷ್ಯರಿಗೆ--ನಾವು ಸಹ ಆತನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಾಯುವಂತೆ ಹೋಗೋಣ ಅಂದನು.

17 So when Jesus came, he found that he had been in the tomb four days already.ತರುವಾಯ ಯೇಸು ಬಂದಾಗ ಲಾಜರನನ್ನು ಸಮಾಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟು ಆಗಲೇ ನಾಲ್ಕು ದಿವಸಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದ ವೆಂದು ಆತನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡನು;

18 Now Bethany was nigh unto Jerusalem, about fifteen furlongs off;ಬೇಥಾನ್ಯವು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚುಕಡಿಮೆ ಒಂದು ಹರದಾರಿ ಯಷ್ಟು ಸವಿಾಪದಲ್ಲಿತ್ತು.

19 and many of the Jews had come to Martha and Mary, to console them concerning their brother.ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಅನೇಕರು ಮಾರ್ಥಳನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಮರಿಯಳನ್ನು ಅವರ ಸಹೋ ದರನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಆದರಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದರು.

20 Martha therefore, when she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met him: but Mary still sat in the house.ಆಗ ಯೇಸು ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆಂದು ಮಾರ್ಥಳು ಕೇಳು ತ್ತಲೇ ಹೋಗಿ ಆತನನ್ನು ಎದುರುಗೊಂಡಳು. ಮರಿಯಳಾದರೋ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಕೂತುಕೊಂಡಿ ದ್ದಳು.

21 Martha therefore said unto Jesus, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.ಆಗ ಮಾರ್ಥಳು ಯೇಸುವಿಗೆ-- ಕರ್ತನೇ, ನೀನು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನು ಸಾಯು ತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.

22 And even now I know that, whatsoever thou shalt ask of God, God will give thee.ಆದರೆ ಈಗಲೂ ಸಹ ನೀನು ದೇವರಿಂದ ಏನು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೀಯೋ ದೇವರು ಅದನ್ನು ನಿನಗೆ ಕೊಡುವನೆಂದು ನಾನು ಬಲ್ಲೆನು ಅಂದಳು.

23 Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again.ಯೇಸು ಆಕೆಗೆ--ನಿನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನು ತಿರಿಗಿ ಎದ್ದೇಳುವನು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

24 Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.ಮಾರ್ಥಳು ಆತನಿಗೆ--ಕಡೇ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಪುನರುತ್ಥಾನವಾಗುವಾಗ ಅವನೂ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಎದ್ದೇಳುವನೆಂದು ನಾನು ಬಲ್ಲೆನು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದಳು.

25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth on me, though he die, yet shall he live;ಯೇಸು ಆಕೆಗೆ--ನಾನೇ ಪುನರುತ್ಥಾನವೂ ಜೀವವೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಇಡುವವನು ಸತ್ತರೂ ಬದುಕುವನು;

26 and whosoever liveth and believeth on me shall never die. Believest thou this?ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ಬದುಕುತ್ತಾ ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಡುವದಾದರೆ ಅವನು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಸಾಯುವ ದಿಲ್ಲ. ಇದನ್ನು ನೀನು ನಂಬುತ್ತೀಯೋ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ

27 She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I have believed that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, `even' he that cometh into the world.ಆಕೆಯು ಆತನಿಗೆ--ಹೌದು, ಕರ್ತನೇ, ಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ಬರಬೇಕಾಗಿದ್ದ ದೇವರಮಗನಾದ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನು ನೀನೇ ಎಂದು ನಾನು ನಂಬುತ್ತೇನೆ ಅಂದಳು.

28 And when she had said this, she went away, and called Mary her sister secretly, saying, The Teacher is her, and calleth thee.ಆಕೆಯು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೊರಟು ಹೋಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರಿಯಾದ ಮರಿಯಳನ್ನು ಗುಪ್ತ ವಾಗಿ ಕರೆದು--ಬೋಧಕನು ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾನೆ, ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕರೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆ ಅಂದಳು.

29 And she, when she heard it, arose quickly, and went unto him.ಆಕೆಯು ಇದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ ಕೂಡಲೆ ತಟ್ಟನೆ ಎದ್ದು ಆತನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದಳು.

30 (Now Jesus was not yet come into the village, but was still in the place where Martha met him.)ಯೇಸು ಇನ್ನೂ ಊರೊಳಕ್ಕೆ ಬಾರದೆ ಮಾರ್ಥಳು ಆತನನ್ನು ಸಂಧಿಸಿದ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಇದ್ದನು.

31 The Jews then who were with her in the house, and were consoling her, when they saw Mary, that she rose up quickly and went out, followed her, supposing that she was going unto the tomb to weep there.ಮನೆ ಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆಕೆಯ ಕೂಡ ಇದ್ದು ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಆದರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರು ಆಕೆಯು ತಟ್ಟನೆ ಎದ್ದು ಹೊರಗೆ ಹೋಗುವದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ--ಆಕೆಯು ಅಳುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಸಮಾಧಿಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾಳೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದು ಆಕೆ ಯನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿದರು.

32 Mary therefore, when she came where Jesus was, and saw him, fell down at his feet, saying unto him, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.ತರುವಾಯ ಯೇಸು ಇದ್ದ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಮರಿಯಳು ಬಂದು ಆತನನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಆತನ ಪಾದಗಳಿಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದು ಆತನಿಗೆ--ಕರ್ತನೇ, ನೀನು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನು ಸಾಯುತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದಳು.

33 When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews `also' weeping who came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled,ಆಕೆಯು ಅಳುವದನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಆಕೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬಂದ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರು ಸಹ ಅಳುವದನ್ನು ಯೇಸು ನೋಡಿದಾಗ ಆತ್ಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳವಳಪಟ್ಟು ಮೂಲ್ಗುತ್ತಾ--

34 and said, Where have ye laid him? They say unto him, Lord, come and see.ಅವನನ್ನು ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಇಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೀರಿ ಅಂದನು. ಅವರು ಆತನಿಗೆ--ಕರ್ತನೇ, ಬಂದು ನೋಡು ಅಂದರು.

35 Jesus wept.ಯೇಸು ಅತ್ತನು.

36 The Jews therefore said, Behold how he loved him!ಆಗ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯ ರು--ಇಗೋ, ಆತನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಎಷ್ಟು ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಮಾಡಿದನಲ್ಲಾ ಅಂದರು.

37 But some of them said, Could not this man, who opened the eyes of him that was blind, have caused that this man also should not die?ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲ ವರು--ಆ ಕುರುಡನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ತೆರೆದ ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಇವನನ್ನೂ ಸಾಯದಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡಲಾರದೆ ಇದ್ದನೇ ಅಂದರು.

38 Jesus therefore again groaning in himself cometh to the tomb. Now it was a cave, and a stone lay against it.ಆದದರಿಂದ ಯೇಸು ತಿರಿಗಿ ತನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂಲ್ಗುತ್ತಾ ಸಮಾಧಿಗೆ ಬಂದನು. ಅದು ಗವಿಯಾಗಿತ್ತು; ಒಂದು ಕಲ್ಲು ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಇಟ್ಟಿತ್ತು.

39 Jesus saith, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time the body decayeth; for he hath been `dead' four days.ಯೇಸು--ಆ ಕಲ್ಲನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಿರಿ ಅಂದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಸತ್ತುಹೋದವನ ಸಹೋದರಿಯಾದ ಮಾರ್ಥಳು ಆತನಿಗೆ--ಕರ್ತನೇ, ಇಷ್ಟರೊಳಗೆ ಅವನು ನಾರುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅವನು ಸತ್ತು ನಾಲ್ಕು ದಿನಗಳಾದವು ಅಂದಳು.

40 Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou believedst, thou shouldest see the glory of God?ಯೇಸು ಆಕೆಗೆ--ನೀನು ನಂಬುವದಾದರೆ ದೇವರ ಮಹಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ನೋಡುವಿ ಎಂದು ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ಹೇಳಲಿಲ್ಲವೇ ಅಂದನು.

41 So they took away the stone. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou heardest me.ಆಗ ಅವರು ಸತ್ತವನನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟಿದ್ದ ಸ್ಥಳದಿಂದ ಕಲ್ಲನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಿದರು. ಯೇಸು ಕಣ್ಣೆತ್ತಿ ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆ ನೋಡಿ--ತಂದೆಯೇ, ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ.

42 And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the multitude that standeth around I said it, that they may believe that thou didst send me.ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯನ್ನು ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ಕೇಳುತ್ತೀ ಎಂದು ನಾನು ಬಲ್ಲೆನು. ಆದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಹತ್ತಿರದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತಿರುವ ಜನರ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವಾಗಿ ನೀನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ್ದೀ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ನಂಬುವಂತೆ ನಾನು ಅದನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದೆನು ಅಂದನು.

43 And when he had thus spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.ಆತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಮೇಲೆ--ಲಾಜರನೇ, ಹೊರಗೆ ಬಾ ಎಂದು ಗಟ್ಟಿಯಾದ ಸ್ವರದಿಂದ ಕೂಗಿದನು.

44 He that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with grave-clothes; and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.ಆಗ ಪ್ರೇತ ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳಿಂದ ಕೈಕಾಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿದ್ದ ಆ ಸತ್ತವನು ಹೊರಗೆ ಬಂದನು. ಅವನ ಮುಖವು ವಸ್ತ್ರ ದಿಂದ ಸುತ್ತಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತ್ತು; ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ಅವನನ್ನು ಬಿಚ್ಚಿರಿ, ಅವನು ಹೋಗಲಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

45 Many therefore of the Jews, who came to Mary and beheld that which he did, believed on him.ಆಗ ಮರಿಯಳ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯ ರಲ್ಲಿ ಅನೇಕರು ಯೇಸು ಮಾಡಿದವುಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಆತನಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಟ್ಟರು.

46 But some of them went away to the Pharisees, and told them the things which Jesus had done.ಆದರೆ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು ಫರಿಸಾಯರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಯೇಸು ಮಾಡಿದವುಗಳನ್ನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದರು.

47 The chief priests therefore and the Pharisees gathered a council, and said, What do we? for this man doeth many signs.ಆಗ ಪ್ರಧಾನಯಾಜಕರೂ ಫರಿಸಾಯರೂ ಆಲೋಚನಾ ಸಭೆಯನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸಿ--ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಅನೇಕ ಅದ್ಭುತಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನಲ್ಲಾ, ನಾವು ಏನು ಮಾಡೋಣ?

48 If we let him thus alone, all men will believe on him: and the Romans will come and take away both our place and our nation.ನಾವು ಅವನನ್ನು ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಬಿಟ್ಟರೆ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಡುವರು ಮತ್ತು ರೋಮಾಯರು ಬಂದು ನಮ್ಮ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನೂ ಜನಾಂಗವನ್ನೂ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಿಟ್ಟಾರು ಅಂದರು.

49 But a certain one of them, Caiaphas, being high priest that year, said unto them, Ye know nothing at all,ಆದರೆ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಆ ವರುಷದ ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕ ನಾದ ಕಾಯಫನೆಂಬವನು ಅವರಿಗೆ--

50 nor do ye take account that it is expedient for you that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not.ನಿಮಗೆ ಏನೂ ತಿಳಿಯದು; ಜನಾಂಗವೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಾಶವಾಗದ ಹಾಗೆ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಜನರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಸಾಯುವದು ನಮಗೆ ವಿಹಿತವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ನೀವು ಯೋಚಿಸುವದೂ ಇಲ್ಲ ಅಂದನು.

51 Now this he said not of himself: but, being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for the nation;ಈ ಮಾತನ್ನು ತನ್ನಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ತಾನೇ ಮಾತನಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ಆ ವರುಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕನಾಗಿದ್ದು ಯೇಸು ಆ ಜನಾಂಗಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲದೆ

52 and not for the nation only, but that he might also gather together into one the children of God that are scattered abroad.ಚದರಿರುವ ದೇವರ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಒಟ್ಟುಗೂಡಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೂ ಆತನು ಸಾಯಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಅವನು ಪ್ರವಾದಿಸಿದನು.

53 So from that day forth they took counsel that they might put him to death.ಅವರು ಕೂಡಿ ಕೊಂಡು ಆ ದಿನದಿಂದ ಆತನನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲಬೇಕೆಂದು ಆಲೋಚನೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು.

54 Jesus therefore walked no more openly among the Jews, but departed thence into the country near to the wilderness, into a city called Ephraim; and there he tarried with the disciples.ಹೀಗಿರುವದರಿಂದ ಯೇಸು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಹಿರಂಗವಾಗಿ ತಿರುಗಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಅಡವಿಗೆ ಸವಿಾಪ ದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಎಫ್ರಾಯಿಮ್‌ ಎಂಬ ಪಟ್ಟಣಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದನು.

55 Now the passover of the Jews was at hand: and many went up to Jerusalem out of the country before the passover, to purify themselves.ಆಗ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ಪಸ್ಕವು ಹತ್ತಿರವಾಗಿತ್ತು; ಅನೇಕರು ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಶುದ್ಧಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಪಸ್ಕಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಂಚೆ ಹಳ್ಳಿಗಳಿಂದ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಹೋದರು.

56 They sought therefore for Jesus, and spake one with another, as they stood in the temple, What think ye? That he will not come to the feast?ಆಗ ಅವರು ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕು ವವರಾಗಿ ದೇವಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾಗ--ಆತನು ಹಬ್ಬಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುವದಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಗೆ ಕಾಣುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ತಮ್ಮತಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಕೊಂಡರು.

57 Now the chief priests and the Pharisees had given commandment, that, if any man knew where he was, he should show it, that they might take him.ಆಗ ಪ್ರಧಾನಯಾಜಕರೂ ಫರಿಸಾಯ ರೂ ಆತನನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿಯುವಂತೆ ಆತನಿರುವ ಸ್ಥಳವು ಯಾರಿಗಾದರೂ ತಿಳಿದರೆ ಅವರು ತಮಗೆ ತೋರಿಸ ಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅಪ್ಪಣೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರು.
