Jeremiah 51:58
ಸೈನ್ಯಗಳ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ--ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಅಗಲವಾದ ಗೋಡೆಗಳು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಕೆಡವಲ್ಪ ಡುವವು; ಅವಳ ಎತ್ತರವಾದ ಬಾಗಲುಗಳು ಬೆಂಕಿ ಯಿಂದ ಸುಡಲ್ಪಡುವವು; ಜನರು ವ್ಯರ್ಥಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೂ ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳು ಬೆಂಕಿಗಾಗಿಯೂ ಕಷ್ಟಪಟ್ಟು ಆಯಾಸ ಪಡುವರು.

ಕರ್ತನು ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟದಿದ್ದರೆ, ಅದನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟುವವರು ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ಕಷ್ಟಪಡುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಕರ್ತನು ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡದೆ ಇದ್ದರೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡುವವನು ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ಎಚ್ಚರ ವಾಗಿರುತ್ತಾನೆ.
