Jeremiah 49
7 ಎದೋಮಿನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಸೈನ್ಯಗಳ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ--ತೇಮಾನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ಜ್ಞಾನವಿರುವದಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ವಿವೇಕಿಗಳಿಂದ ಆಲೋಚ ನೆಯು ನಾಶವಾಯಿತೋ? ಅವರ ಜ್ಞಾನವು ಕಾಣದೆ ಹೋಯಿತೋ?
8 ದೇದಾನಿನ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳೇ, ಓಡಿ ಹೋಗಿರಿ, ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ, ಆಳವಾದ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಮಾಡಿರಿ. ಏಸಾವಿನ ಆಪತ್ತನ್ನೂ ನಾನು ಅವನನ್ನು ವಿಚಾರಿಸುವ ಕಾಲವನ್ನು ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರಮಾಡು ತ್ತೇನೆ.
9 ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೇ ಕೂಡಿಸುವವರು ನಿನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದರೆ ಹಕ್ಕಲನ್ನಾದರೂ ಉಳಿಸರೇ? ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳ್ಳರು ಬಂದಿದ್ದರೆ ತಮಗೆ ಸಾಕಾಗುವಷ್ಟು ಕೆಡಿಸುವವರಲ್ಲವೇ?
10 ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ಏಸಾವನನ್ನು ಬರಿದುಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಅದರ ರಹಸ್ಯ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳನ್ನು ತೆರೆದಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಅವನು ತನ್ನನ್ನು ತಾನೇ ಅಡಗಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾರನು; ಅವನ ಸಂತಾನವು ಹಾಳಾಯಿತು; ಅವನ ಸಹೋದರರೂ ನೆರೆಯವರೂ ಅವನೂ ಇಲ್ಲವಾದರು.
11 ನಿನ್ನ ದಿಕ್ಕಿಲ್ಲದ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಬಿಡು; ನಾನೇ ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವೆನು; ನಿನ್ನ ವಿಧವೆಯರು ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಇಡಲಿ.
12 ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳು ತ್ತಾನೆ--ಇಗೋ ಪಾತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಡಿಯುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಯಾರಿಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರ್ವಿಕೆ ಆಗಲಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ಅವರು ಸಹ ಕುಡಿದಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ನೀನು ಶುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಅಪರಾಧ ವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಇರುವಿಯೋ? ಅಪರಾಧವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಇರುವದಿಲ್ಲ ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಕುಡಿಯುವಿ.
13 ಬೊಚ್ರವು ಹಾಳೂ ನಿಂದೆಯೂ ಅಡವಿಯೂ ಶಾಪವೂ ಆಗುವದೆಂದು ಅದರ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ಎಂದೆಂದಿಗೂ ಅಡವಿ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಾ ಗುವವೆಂದೂ ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದು ಕರ್ತನು ಅನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ.
14 ಕರ್ತನಿಂದ ನಾನು ಸುದ್ದಿಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಅನ್ಯಜನಾಂಗಗಳೊಳಗೆ ರಾಯಭಾರಿಯು ಕಳುಹಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ನೀವು ಒಟ್ಟು ಗೂಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಬನ್ನಿರಿ, ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಏಳಿರಿ.
15 ಇಗೋ, ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಅನ್ಯಜನಾಂಗ ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹೀನವಾಗಿಯೂ ಮನುಷ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವ ನನ್ನಾಗಿಯೂ ಮಾಡುವೆನು.
16 ಬಂಡೆಯ ಬಿರುಕು ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಮಾಡುವವನೇ ಗುಡ್ಡದ ಕೊನೆಯನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿಯುವವನೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ಭಯಂಕರತ್ವವೂ ಹೃದಯದ ಗರ್ವವೂ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಮೋಸಗೊಳಿಸಿದವು; ನೀನು ಹದ್ದಿನಂತೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಗೂಡನ್ನು ಎತ್ತರ ಮಾಡಿದರೂ ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಇಳಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆಂದು ಕರ್ತನು ಅನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ.
17 ಎದೋಮು ಸಹ ಹಾಳಾಗುವದು; ಅದರ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾದು ಹೋಗುವವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಅದರ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಬಾಧೆಗಳ ವಿಷಯ ವಿಸ್ಮಯಪಟ್ಟು ಸಿಳ್ಳಿಡುವರು.
18 ಸೊದೋಮ್ ಗೊಮೋರ ಅವುಗಳ ಸವಿಾಪ ದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳೂ ಕೆಡವಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಾಗ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಾದರೂ ವಾಸಮಾಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ, ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಪುತ್ರನಾದರೂ ತಂಗುವದಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ಕರ್ತನು ಅನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ.
19 ಇಗೋ, ಅವನು ಸಿಂಹದ ಹಾಗೆ ಯೊರ್ದನಿನ ಉಬ್ಬುವಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಬಲವಾದ ನಿವಾಸಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಏರಿ ಬರುವನು; ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕ್ಷಣಮಾತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ದೂರವಾಗಿ ಓಡಿಹೋಗುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವೆನು. ನಾನು ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ನೇಮಿಸತಕ್ಕ ಆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವನು ಯಾರು? ನನ್ನ ಹಾಗೆ ಯಾರು? ನನಗೆ ಕಾಲವನ್ನು ನೇಮಿಸು ವವನಾರು? ನನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಲ್ಲತಕ್ಕ ಕುರುಬನು ಯಾರು?
20 ಆದದರಿಂದ ಕರ್ತನು ಎದೋಮಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದ ಆಲೋಚನೆಯನ್ನೂ ತೇಮಾನಿನ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಅವನು ಮಾಡಿದ ಯೋಚನೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕೇಳಿರಿ. ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಮಂದೆಯ ಮರಿಗಳು ಅವರನ್ನು ಎಳೆಯುವವು, ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಅವರ ನಿವಾಸವನ್ನು ಅವರ ಸಂಗಡ ಹಾಳುಮಾಡು ವನು.
21 ಅವರು ಬೀಳುವ ಶಬ್ದದಿಂದ ಭೂಮಿಯು ಕದಲುವದು ಅವರ ಕೂಗಿನ ಶಬ್ದವು ಕೆಂಪು ಸಮುದ್ರ ದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೇಳಬರುವದು.
22 ಇಗೋ, ಅವನು ಹದ್ದಿನಂತೆ ಹಾರುವನು; ಬೊಚ್ರದ ಮೇಲೆ ತನ್ನ ರೆಕ್ಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಚಾಚುವನು; ಎದೋಮಿನ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮ ಶಾಲಿಗಳ ಹೃದಯವು ಆ ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಸವ ವೇದನೆಯುಳ್ಳ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯ ಹೃದಯದ ಹಾಗೆ ಇರುವದು.
7 Concerning Edom, thus saith the Lord of hosts; Is wisdom no more in Teman? is counsel perished from the prudent? is their wisdom vanished?
8 Flee ye, turn back, dwell deep, O inhabitants of Dedan; for I will bring the calamity of Esau upon him, the time that I will visit him.
9 If grapegatherers come to thee, would they not leave some gleaning grapes? if thieves by night, they will destroy till they have enough.
10 But I have made Esau bare, I have uncovered his secret places, and he shall not be able to hide himself: his seed is spoiled, and his brethren, and his neighbours, and he is not.
11 Leave thy fatherless children, I will preserve them alive; and let thy widows trust in me.
12 For thus saith the Lord; Behold, they whose judgment was not to drink of the cup have assuredly drunken; and art thou he that shall altogether go unpunished? thou shalt not go unpunished, but thou shalt surely drink of it.
13 For I have sworn by myself, saith the Lord, that Bozrah shall become a desolation, a reproach, a waste, and a curse; and all the cities thereof shall be perpetual wastes.
14 I have heard a rumour from the Lord, and an ambassador is sent unto the heathen, saying, Gather ye together, and come against her, and rise up to the battle.
15 For, lo, I will make thee small among the heathen, and despised among men.
16 Thy terribleness hath deceived thee, and the pride of thine heart, O thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, that holdest the height of the hill: though thou shouldest make thy nest as high as the eagle, I will bring thee down from thence, saith the Lord.
17 Also Edom shall be a desolation: every one that goeth by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss at all the plagues thereof.
18 As in the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbour cities thereof, saith the Lord, no man shall abide there, neither shall a son of man dwell in it.
19 Behold, he shall come up like a lion from the swelling of Jordan against the habitation of the strong: but I will suddenly make him run away from her: and who is a chosen man, that I may appoint over her? for who is like me? and who will appoint me the time? and who is that shepherd that will stand before me?
20 Therefore hear the counsel of the Lord, that he hath taken against Edom; and his purposes, that he hath purposed against the inhabitants of Teman: Surely the least of the flock shall draw them out: surely he shall make their habitations desolate with them.
21 The earth is moved at the noise of their fall, at the cry the noise thereof was heard in the Red sea.
22 Behold, he shall come up and fly as the eagle, and spread his wings over Bozrah: and at that day shall the heart of the mighty men of Edom be as the heart of a woman in her pangs.

If grapegatherers come to thee, would they not leave some gleaning grapes? if thieves by night, they will destroy till they have enough.
10 ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ಏಸಾವನನ್ನು ಬರಿದುಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಅದರ ರಹಸ್ಯ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳನ್ನು ತೆರೆದಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಅವನು ತನ್ನನ್ನು ತಾನೇ ಅಡಗಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾರನು; ಅವನ ಸಂತಾನವು ಹಾಳಾಯಿತು; ಅವನ ಸಹೋದರರೂ ನೆರೆಯವರೂ ಅವನೂ ಇಲ್ಲವಾದರು.
But I have made Esau bare, I have uncovered his secret places, and he shall not be able to hide himself: his seed is spoiled, and his brethren, and his neighbours, and he is not.
11 ನಿನ್ನ ದಿಕ್ಕಿಲ್ಲದ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಬಿಡು; ನಾನೇ ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವೆನು; ನಿನ್ನ ವಿಧವೆಯರು ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಇಡಲಿ.
Leave thy fatherless children, I will preserve them alive; and let thy widows trust in me.
12 ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳು ತ್ತಾನೆ--ಇಗೋ ಪಾತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಡಿಯುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಯಾರಿಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರ್ವಿಕೆ ಆಗಲಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ಅವರು ಸಹ ಕುಡಿದಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ನೀನು ಶುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಅಪರಾಧ ವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಇರುವಿಯೋ? ಅಪರಾಧವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಇರುವದಿಲ್ಲ ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಕುಡಿಯುವಿ.
For thus saith the Lord; Behold, they whose judgment was not to drink of the cup have assuredly drunken; and art thou he that shall altogether go unpunished? thou shalt not go unpunished, but thou shalt surely drink of it.
13 ಬೊಚ್ರವು ಹಾಳೂ ನಿಂದೆಯೂ ಅಡವಿಯೂ ಶಾಪವೂ ಆಗುವದೆಂದು ಅದರ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ಎಂದೆಂದಿಗೂ ಅಡವಿ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಾ ಗುವವೆಂದೂ ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದು ಕರ್ತನು ಅನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ.
For I have sworn by myself, saith the Lord, that Bozrah shall become a desolation, a reproach, a waste, and a curse; and all the cities thereof shall be perpetual wastes.
14 ಕರ್ತನಿಂದ ನಾನು ಸುದ್ದಿಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಅನ್ಯಜನಾಂಗಗಳೊಳಗೆ ರಾಯಭಾರಿಯು ಕಳುಹಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ನೀವು ಒಟ್ಟು ಗೂಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಬನ್ನಿರಿ, ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಏಳಿರಿ.
I have heard a rumour from the Lord, and an ambassador is sent unto the heathen, saying, Gather ye together, and come against her, and rise up to the battle.
15 ಇಗೋ, ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಅನ್ಯಜನಾಂಗ ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹೀನವಾಗಿಯೂ ಮನುಷ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವ ನನ್ನಾಗಿಯೂ ಮಾಡುವೆನು.
For, lo, I will make thee small among the heathen, and despised among men.
16 ಬಂಡೆಯ ಬಿರುಕು ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಮಾಡುವವನೇ ಗುಡ್ಡದ ಕೊನೆಯನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿಯುವವನೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ಭಯಂಕರತ್ವವೂ ಹೃದಯದ ಗರ್ವವೂ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಮೋಸಗೊಳಿಸಿದವು; ನೀನು ಹದ್ದಿನಂತೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಗೂಡನ್ನು ಎತ್ತರ ಮಾಡಿದರೂ ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಇಳಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆಂದು ಕರ್ತನು ಅನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ.
Thy terribleness hath deceived thee, and the pride of thine heart, O thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, that holdest the height of the hill: though thou shouldest make thy nest as high as the eagle, I will bring thee down from thence, saith the Lord.
17 ಎದೋಮು ಸಹ ಹಾಳಾಗುವದು; ಅದರ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾದು ಹೋಗುವವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಅದರ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಬಾಧೆಗಳ ವಿಷಯ ವಿಸ್ಮಯಪಟ್ಟು ಸಿಳ್ಳಿಡುವರು.
Also Edom shall be a desolation: every one that goeth by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss at all the plagues thereof.
18 ಸೊದೋಮ್ ಗೊಮೋರ ಅವುಗಳ ಸವಿಾಪ ದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳೂ ಕೆಡವಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಾಗ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಾದರೂ ವಾಸಮಾಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ, ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಪುತ್ರನಾದರೂ ತಂಗುವದಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ಕರ್ತನು ಅನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ.
As in the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbour cities thereof, saith the Lord, no man shall abide there, neither shall a son of man dwell in it.
19 ಇಗೋ, ಅವನು ಸಿಂಹದ ಹಾಗೆ ಯೊರ್ದನಿನ ಉಬ್ಬುವಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಬಲವಾದ ನಿವಾಸಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಏರಿ ಬರುವನು; ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕ್ಷಣಮಾತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ದೂರವಾಗಿ ಓಡಿಹೋಗುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವೆನು. ನಾನು ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ನೇಮಿಸತಕ್ಕ ಆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವನು ಯಾರು? ನನ್ನ ಹಾಗೆ ಯಾರು? ನನಗೆ ಕಾಲವನ್ನು ನೇಮಿಸು ವವನಾರು? ನನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಲ್ಲತಕ್ಕ ಕುರುಬನು ಯಾರು?

20 ಆದದರಿಂದ ಕರ್ತನು ಎದೋಮಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದ ಆಲೋಚನೆಯನ್ನೂ ತೇಮಾನಿನ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಅವನು ಮಾಡಿದ ಯೋಚನೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕೇಳಿರಿ. ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಮಂದೆಯ ಮರಿಗಳು ಅವರನ್ನು ಎಳೆಯುವವು, ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಅವರ ನಿವಾಸವನ್ನು ಅವರ ಸಂಗಡ ಹಾಳುಮಾಡು ವನು.

21 ಅವರು ಬೀಳುವ ಶಬ್ದದಿಂದ ಭೂಮಿಯು ಕದಲುವದು ಅವರ ಕೂಗಿನ ಶಬ್ದವು ಕೆಂಪು ಸಮುದ್ರ ದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೇಳಬರುವದು.

22 ಇಗೋ, ಅವನು ಹದ್ದಿನಂತೆ ಹಾರುವನು; ಬೊಚ್ರದ ಮೇಲೆ ತನ್ನ ರೆಕ್ಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಚಾಚುವನು; ಎದೋಮಿನ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮ ಶಾಲಿಗಳ ಹೃದಯವು ಆ ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಸವ ವೇದನೆಯುಳ್ಳ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯ ಹೃದಯದ ಹಾಗೆ ಇರುವದು.
Behold, he shall come up and fly as the eagle, and spread his wings over Bozrah: and at that day shall the heart of the mighty men of Edom be as the heart of a woman in her pangs.
